The new Secretary of State made a statement that America was the greatest civilization the world had ever seen, but I'm wondering - which America was he referring to?

Is it the America that wants to protect the unborn at all costs, or the one that wants to protect the right to own military weapons? I wonder, because a women can still get an abortion after jumping through a whole series of hoops - just like gun owners can get a Federal Firearms license and own as many military weapons as they wish - so - are the hoops to jump through to own military weapons just too many?

Maybe he meant the America that has the best medical care in the world, or did he mean the one where that care is only available to those that can afford it? Of course, he may have been referring to the America that believes that making a profit is preeminent, valued far above human life. That makes perfect sense - if the America he meant is the one where the poor and elderly are better off dead, better off for the rest that is.

Is it the America that believes America is only for Americans, or the one that wants to let everyone come here? Is it the one that believes that America has a right to tell everyone else what to do and how to do it, or the one that objects to being told what to do? Maybe he meant the America that believes that religious freedoms are absolute, or perhaps he meant the one that believes that only Christian religious freedoms are absolute?

It's hard to tell which America he referred to, as there are at least 300,000,000 opinions on the matter. Is it the Democrats America or the Republicans America? Is it the Liberals America or the Conservatives America, or the Progressives America, or the Evangelicals America......................or is it the America of all the above?

The sad fact is, as long as we continue to fight over WHO's America it is, rather than accepting that is ALL of ours...........we can NOT in fact...........claim to be the greatest civilization the world has ever seen...........unless we specify WHICH America we're referring to.

You want to know WHICH America being referred to - Come on man, that's easy: THE ONE and ONLY America to refer to is the America that follows the rule of law - which should include ALL OF THE ABOVE. Now specific to "Is it the America that believes America is only for Americans" - Follow the rule of law and you don't have to be an American citizen. So if you are an illegal alien, you don't follow the rule of law; you are here illegally and therefore not only DO NOT follow the rule of law, DO NOT RESPECT THE RULE OF LAW of the United States of America. So, everyone here legally who fits into the categories described above is the America we refer to.
