Yours is somewhat more understandable. I could not understand why she could not understand when I changed my verbiage to, "she died" then went to, "she is dead". I was chortling under my breath when the manager called.

Ray, my deceased husband, had a friend that was not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I do not know if he did drugs, but I could swear that he did. Anyway, I called all Ray's friends to deliver the news personally. I got him, his friend on the phone, and I said I have some very bad news for you. I said, Ray passed away. He says, oh come on if you do not want him to go fishing, just say so. This is not funny. I said, no dear Ray died. He says, I am coming over there to get him to tell me himself. I said, no you do not understand Ray has gone. He says, I will wait until he comes home. I say no...he died, he is deceased, he passed away, he is not alive. He says, I will be there in 20 minutes, you tell him that I want to talk with him. I said, okay come on over. Sure enough, he was there in 20 minutes wanting to talk to Ray. Well, I told you once that I have a relative that is into talking to ghosts and such....she offered him a séance.

I often wonder what became of him. He was always good for a laugh. But, he was always so sincere and I would have to leave the room so I could laugh...as not to hurt his feelings.

Boring story; however, here it is.

After my mother-in-law passed away, I attempted to have her phone service cancelled. They customer service told me they would have to speak to my mother-in-law. I explained she had passed away. The young woman told me three more times they had to talk to her. I asked if they would call her at a new number to discuss the matter. The young woman said she would. I asked if after speaking to her could she call me back. She agreed to this, as well. I gave her the telephone number for the cemetery office. Thirty minutes later a supervisor called to inquire why I had given such a number. I informed them the customer service rep refused to understand my mother-in-law could not call to cancel her phone service. Needless to say it took all restraint I had not to say truly unkind things as to brains and/or laugh hysterically thinking of the response at the cemetery when they asked for my mother-in-law.

The funny thing is that this kids letter in crayon makes more sense than most of the protest signs carried by the teabaggers!

that may be because you have more in common with the six year old than you do with adults

Ranting against the IRS is the preoccupation of fools and rightwing nutters. Pay your taxes buttwipe and stop shilling for the greedy rich.

I got a notice from the IRS saying they were going ahead with filing a lien against my bank account. The amount owed.

$0.03 cents, that's right a total of 3 pennies. It cost them much more for the envelope they sent the notice to me in than what I owed them. I feel this is the product of a public education.

Oh yeah inyourface, I hardly qualify as one of the greedy rich since my wife and I have only social security to live on having been wiped out by the housing bust thanks to the stupid dumacrats.

I do agree, the internet is now full of more misinformation than helpful or even truthful information. I love my books, those that have been around and no one has put a spin on them yet. Here is a true story. My husband passed away. I did all the notifications, including filing his last returns and I enclosed a certified copy of his death certificate. Two years later, the IRS sent him a letter asking for his change of address. True story.

And yours won't be the last. There is a huge amount of incompetence in the government at every level. I feel sorry for what the really good workers have to listen to under guilt by association logic.
When I was going through my disability process, I had to go to the SSI office once (just once unbelievably). I marked the entire afternoon down as a write off. When I was called to the desk, the woman was efficient, friendly and amazingly fast as well as accurate. I asked for her supervisor's name and sent a letter to that office.
