YOU are part of the problem. We (those of us who care for this country) don't want Democrat Lite. Progressives are as big a danger or even more so than liberals. Better to lose this election and every election for 50 years than to lose our souls.

You call it the America that never was, but I was there. I know America better, obviously, than you do, even though I have only recently become a citizen. I am frightened at what you and your ilk are doing to my country and even more upset that you, who were born here, can betray it so easily. I can tell you, because I have seen it with my own eyes, that the alternatives to what we had here until you and your fellow travelers began your work of destruction, is not an America even you will want to live in.

We should be standing up for conservative principles and forcing a change in direction back to where we were headed when we were a great country. The present course leads to ruin.

It simply is impossible for me to understand the mind-set of a liberal who cannot see what is right in front of his nose and falls for the tripe that comes out of the mouths of the liberal leaders and republican progressives.

Use the brain God gave you! Look around and see what is happening! There is no excuse for apathy and ignorance! If you don't join the fight to reverse our course then you are an enabler and must take responsibility for the evil that is being done to our country and our kids and grandkids.
YOU are part of the problem. We (those of us who ... (show quote)

You actually expect them to take responsibility for their actions? That is the problem right now in this country. There are just to many that cannot and will not take any responsibility for anything. That's what makes them progressives. They think they are really funny putting other people down that think for themselves and are trying to save this country. They never knew a country that was REALLY free, so they have no experience in it. They don't know what it truly means to be free and to have your own say as to how your family lives and how they can build a future that does not require a government to support them. They are so used to government handouts that they don't know what it is like to live without them.

The 50's were a fantasy world to them since they have no respect for history and how people really lived back then. They think Leave it to Beaver is a fantasy TV series that never represented the American family. They don't understand that life CAN be that good and that life CAN be a blessing. Abortions did not exist them, except in the back allies and we didn't murder our children wholesale just because we couldn't be bothered. Women actually looked forward to bearing children and raising them and having a family. Now days it is to much of a bother and with our throw away society we got to where we didn't care what we threw away. It got to where we are throwing away our children and our feature, but they couldn't see it. We threw away our children like they were just disposable diapers instead of children.

I don't really know what it will take to take this country back. Maybe we can take it for awhile, but we will not be around much longer and that makes the progressives happy. They think we are just a bunch of old fools that no one should listen to anyway. Even if we do take it back, what will happen later when we are no longer a force to be reckoned with. When we are gone, how will this country stay free unless we teach this younger generation what freedom really is and how to keep it? If they are not interested in keeping it now, when will they get interested? After they totally loose it and it is to late to take it back? How do you teach someone what something is when they have taken it for granted all their life and don't really know what it is like to loose it? Because they take it for granted now and are not educated, how can you expect them to keep something when they don't even know what they have?

Looking at videos or pictures is just more virtual reality for many people. I think a field trip to Syria would be in order. " Chilren, this could be YOUR fate if you don't wake up and start paying attention to what your elders are trying to teach you.". Seeing life in the "for reals" might just do the trick.

Great post. However, it is too full of truth for a prog to accept.

Yes, Brian; but their are enough of us old gray haired ones that in November the progressives will have a mud hole stamped in that backside. Can't wait. Also, can't wait to hear your reply: NOT!

That would be kind of like women who have accepted that prog crap just don't understand being used as a tool. I am wondering how many of the younger people who voted for Obama would ever make that mistake again. Enough of them who are suffering from buyer's remorse will probably be voting in November and not for his backers either.

@ roy....i loved this...says it all for us " seniors" ...Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.......

I liked most of what you had to say. This silver haired old fogie is voting in november.

I got this message in an e-mail this morning. I am certainly one of those old geezers who many here don't think amount to anything other than loud noises. My next loud noise will be heard by the scratch of pencil on paper (I refuse to use methods that can be changed to vote so use only the old fashioned method) as I cast my vote next November. If enough of us come out to vote we won't need to get too tough but maybe too many will stay at home.

The typical U.S. Household headed by a person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than a household headed by someone under 35, according to an analysis of census data released Monday. If all of us old folks have all of the money, then let us try to elect someone who might be near honest and not be after feathering their own nests.
They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience.
We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don't know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam . We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America ; we fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner , America , and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was nothing but "Hype and Lies."
You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don't like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are now having buyer's remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn't have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the 'Kool-Aid.' Now you're paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.
This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don't worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2014 we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we're going, and in 2014 we're going to the polls by the millions.
This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to "We the People" and "We the People" plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren. So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the "Grey-Haired Brigade."

Footnote:
This is spot on. I am another Gray-Haired Geezer signing on. I will circulate this to other Gray-Haired Geezers all over this once great county.

This article hardly mentioned Obama. It referred to the "great lie"of 2008. Do you know what that was? Do you deny it was a lie?
The only other reference was that "this land does not belong to the man in the white house". It could refer to any president and in most of our minds it does, including a republican president. The only conclusion one can draw from your statement is that you think the land DOES belong to the man in the white house! Perhaps you think we should be under a monarchy then?
The main theme of these postings concerns the need to get out and vote. You think that is ignorant, ill informed and stupid?
I for one would like to see how you reasoned that way; it might let me see how a liberal mind operates.

Those are mighty caustic words there! Seems like you are taking it upon yourself to speak for a great many people as well. Most people who use words such as you have, have no confidence in their own viewpoint, that's why they are left with trying to minimize other's viewpoints. A very weak position that.

I have just been called ignorant, ill informed and stupid by a left leaner. Of course, you know that I consider all you leaners to be just the same way.
