I got this message in an e-mail this morning. I am certainly one of those old geezers who many here don't think amount to anything other than loud noises. My next loud noise will be heard by the scratch of pencil on paper (I refuse to use methods that can be changed to v**e so use only the old fashioned method) as I cast my v**e next November. If enough of us come out to v**e we won't need to get too tough but maybe too many will stay at home.



The typical U.S. Household headed by a person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than a household headed by someone under 35, according to an analysis of census data released Monday. If all of us old folks have all of the money, then let us try to elect someone who might be near honest and not be after feathering their own nests.
They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience.
We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don't know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam . We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with p***e and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America ; we fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but carried the same f**g. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner , America , and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was nothing but "Hype and Lies."
You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don't like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and v****g. Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are now having buyer's remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn't have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the 'Kool-Aid.' Now you're paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom.
This is what you v**ed for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don't worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2014 we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we're going, and in 2014 we're going to the polls by the millions.
This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to "We the People" and "We the People" plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren. So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the "Grey-Haired Brigade."

Can you explain to me what those walkers are used for? I don't see the need for one, but at 81 it could happen any time.

That stampede is something that people like you really hope doesn't take place in early November 2014. The problem is that many of the people who would v**e like me will have to use their walkers and wheel chairs. Whoops, I forgot, they will be able to v**e by mail like so many did for Obama in 2012. Maybe they won't have to stampede, after all.

As a gray haired geezer this is spot on. I can only hope and pray that this generation doesn't trade away freedom for hype and lies but comes to its senses and remembers that freedom is never free but like a good marriage requires diligence and hard work or it will be destroyed.

20 years ago if I had known what was going to happen to this country I would not have believed it. It has changed so much and I frankly admit to despair because I do not see how, once the new course has been set, it can be changed. Too many liberals, too many apathetic uninformed, too many i******s, too many who v**e on race or ethnicity. An extremely effective media, judicial and administrative (czars? What do we need with czars?) force opposed to freedom and the Constitution.

But it began before the latest administration. When Bush W went rogue we could see it and objected, not just liberals, but all of us. I did not see the Republicans drinking the Kool-Aid in the manner that the Democrats do now for their President (not mine, sorry, it makes me puke to think of who is running the show now).

I did not like the way Bush (both of them to be frank) were obvious Progressives, nor the way McCain, Boehner, Romney, McConnell, etc swung even harder to the left in an attempt to be more popular, a frantic scramble to discard conservative principles in order to regain power. Selling their souls, for what amounts to a few pennies. Even Judas held out for more.

I see an organized, effective army of brain-dead liberals determined not only to see that their elected leader and his minions are successful in their fight to destroy this country by making it just like every other European-style banana republic, taking away our rights and freedoms we took for granted for so long. Twisting facts and spinning so hard it would be funny if the outcome was not going to be so serious.

Many State governors are the same progressives, and it is all so mixed up it is impossible to identify Red or Blue. The forces of evil, as personified by the liberals, are seemingly too powerful to resist. I h**e to cry "we are doomed!" but some days that is what I truly believe.

Why are so many v**ers in this country so gullible? What has happened to the once great American patriot? Surely all can see that we are no longer the country that led the world for so long, and can no longer win in any conflict comparable to WWII, even if our leaders wanted us to? When we are under Sharia law, learning Chinese in school because we have to, relying on the largesse of the government for our food and shelter, disarmed and in fear of the criminals, Political Correctness out of control, drugged out of our minds, seeing a******ns increased in numbers (as if that was possible) and watching our children and grandchildren taught that is is OK for two men to marry each other, and maybe hoping that the foreign military occupiers of our bases, now under UN control, will protect us.

But sadly, the liberals and progressives cannot see this, or accept the possibility that if we do not regain control of the direction this country has to move in order to survive, all these things can happen, and worse. They call conservatives fools and scaremongers. They attack the Tea Party as terrorists, they continue to openly undermine American standards and principles, they are happy to see the economy brought to its knees, and to take away any hope for the young. They support the creation of a permanent dependent class that will be taught to v**e for the party that will give them their share of Other Peoples' Money. Not realizing that without the middle class of Americans who believe in hard work there will be no OPM.

I am discouraged. I wonder if we can win our country back. Do we have enough of the younger citizens behind us? I doubt we old fogeys and geezers can do it alone.

Well we can try, can't we? I have been trying to get all the youngsters I know to start showing some patriotism. I've been telling them I expect them to v**e, not how to v**e mind you, but that I expect them to use some sense.

I think some of them will v**e just to get me to leave them alone. I call that a win. My only message has been, " this YOUR country and it's YOUR responsibility for how it's run, it may be my money their spending now, but YOU will be responsible for the debt left behind. Wake up and smell the political stench. Go v**e and clear your nose. "

I sure hope you are awakening some people. Telling them that they will get to pay the bill someday may do the trick, but with too many they see goodies from the left operated government as being better than standing up to them.

You are right on the money! It's not only youngsters that have fallen into the " I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" trap. It seems we have become an instant gratification society, like a drug addict, only we are addicted to the Governments largess.

I sometimes use " the Government is borrowing from your childrens future for all the goodies you're getting today". Sadly, many folk just look at me like I'm nut's and move away. Some don't, they start asking questions and THEY'RE the one's that give me hope. My ideas may not be right but if folk ask questions and come up with different answers, I'm extremely satisfied with that.

The Republicans have been warned ad nauseum that they risk extinction if they do not adapt to changing demographics and respect the needs of women and minorities. Their response??? They would rather go extinct than give up their 1950s fantasies of an America that never was.

YOU are part of the problem. We (those of us who care for this country) don't want Democrat Lite. Progressives are as big a danger or even more so than liberals. Better to lose this e******n and every e******n for 50 years than to lose our souls.

You call it the America that never was, but I was there. I know America better, obviously, than you do, even though I have only recently become a citizen. I am frightened at what you and your ilk are doing to my country and even more upset that you, who were born here, can betray it so easily. I can tell you, because I have seen it with my own eyes, that the alternatives to what we had here until you and your fellow travelers began your work of destruction, is not an America even you will want to live in.

We should be standing up for conservative principles and forcing a change in direction back to where we were headed when we were a great country. The present course leads to ruin.

It simply is impossible for me to understand the mind-set of a liberal who cannot see what is right in front of his nose and falls for the tripe that comes out of the mouths of the liberal leaders and republican progressives.

Use the brain God gave you! Look around and see what is happening! There is no excuse for apathy and ignorance! If you don't join the fight to reverse our course then you are an enabler and must take responsibility for the evil that is being done to our country and our kids and grandkids.
