The thing is, Trumps numbers have continued to hover in the thirty percentiles yet conservatives think the majority of the population loves him and everything is just fine. There is a core group of republicans who are so dense that one of the rocket mans rockets couldn't get through to them. I have been participating in debates on message boards since 2000 and our conservative friends have only became more rigid and resistant to change and they honestly view it as their best attribute. In the early 2000's you could at least carry on a debate with them whereas now it starts out with a string of ad hominem attacks and ends up the same--at no time in the exchange is any rationality displayed. Even their best debater, Loki, can't stay away from them so when your best and brightest debates like a rock it doesn't say much for the rest of them.

Equality and diversity in the gay community. Most conservatives I know don't care if someone is gay or not as long as they mind their own damn business and don't get up in someone's face with it trying to force them to accept something contrary to their religious beliefs. If you had ever served in the military you would not need an explanation as to why openly gay and transsexual people are not suitable, yet from the summit of the molehill of your experience, you try to force your dysfunctional worldview on people whose lives may depend on it. You vilify Christians for defending their beliefs and give your precious Muslims a pass. You insist on amnesty for criminals. You take unproven accusations of child molestation and sexual misconduct as ironclad truth and yet elect and defend politicians convicted of it and support late term abortion, which brings up the fact that most of you oppose the death penalty for vicious criminals but support it for viable unborn children.
You oppose gun ownership and say "let the police protect you;" ignoring the fact that the police not only cannot protect you, they have no legal obligation to do so.
Once more, you expect everyone to accept your views on everything and you can't wait to get AUTHORITY (which you worship) to try to force everyone to accept it.
The real world is not your world; you cannot change peoples' beliefs by making rules against a way of thinking of which you don't approve. Reality is what it is, and all of your granola, tofu, wishful thinking and temper tantrums inside your "safe spaces" won't change a thing.
The only thing Liberals stand for is a desire to use AUTHORITY to force their beliefs on everyone. All in the name of enforced diversity; as long as the diversity in question meets their criteria.

One more thing...stop using religion as a yardstick for Conservatism. It is as invalid as using a lack of any as a yardstick for Liberalism. Most Conservatives oppose Islam, and most Liberals oppose Christianity. Is that a nice, generalized statement? Oh, that's right. For Liberals, we must have proof.
