"A U.S. Internal Revenue Service manager, who described himself as a conservative Republican, told congressional investigators that he and a local colleague decided to give conservative groups the extra scrutiny that has prompted weeks of political controversy."
I seriously doubt that any conservative Republican told investigators this. I seriously doubt any conservative Republicans even work at the IRS. The man may be a Republican or he may be a ringer thrown in for protection, a democrat allowing himself to be thrown under the bus, but frankly, I don't believe MOST people know what "conservative republican" means. The left has been quite adept at marginalizing the English language, turning words on end to force the meanings to be questionable. It's a liberal tactic and they do it pretty well. The left does most corrupt and criminal things pretty well - the only thing that gets them caught is their abject stupidity.
Cummings could watch from a front row seat as Obama chopped off 5 children's heads, and he'd deny Obama did anything wrong. Democrats' words are as good as the average felon's word. When corruption is generously mixed with abject stupidity, truth seldom is uttered. And the Democrat Party couldn't compete with a gaggle of 4th graders of yesteryear, back before the left screwed up the education industry. Pretty soon they'll have us back into the 12 Century.

If this clown is a conservative Republican, I must be a Liberal Democrat, therefore, my views as expressed on this site must hereinafter be suspect as Prog drivel. It could be that this IRS patsy is a Conservative Republican in much the same way that Karl Rove is one.

Cummings has his marching orders.

How I wish those marching orders included "shut your mouth and go home and stay there!"
The man in charge of the IRS when this "extra-scrutiny" occurred was a conservative Republican Bush appointee. This is not saying he ordered the extra scrutiny, just pointing out they exist in the IRS. Remember Nixon? Part of the charges against him was for using the IRS against those on a real, honest to God Enemies List.

As usual you throw out statements that are egregiously moronic. Schulman was a Bush appointee; however, he WAS NOT AND IS NOT a conservative. He donated money to the Democratic Party as well as the Obama campaign. His wife is employed with a Democratic activist organization.
Yes, Nixon did have an enemies list and had staff who supported and lied about illegal activities, somewhat like Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, Douglas Schulman, White House Counsel Rummler, Eric Holder, and in my personal belief Tim Geitner. That list is as long as Nixon's and had the cojones to step down.

You have Republicans who are part of the Bush "Old Guard" which are not, I repeat, NOT conservative. They're best described as "big government Republicans" such as Bush.
Your Peter Kings, John McCains and Karl Roves of like, are part of the Old Guard. They maybe in the Republican party but do not have Conservative's best interests in mind. If anything they try to disavow their own that hail from the Tea Party since they couldn't co-opt them from before.
Don't let the liberal media lie to you. How about reading something other than the Huffington post, or for this matter, the Chicago Tribune all the time?

What is this so-called "Conservative Republican's" name again? I wonder what sort of "sideways promotion" he is in line for?

From what I can gather he's probably a fall guy just so the liberals can say "See! See! It's a Republican conspiracy!"
Synonmous to the type of lunacy from Alex Jones: "False Flag! False Flag!"
It seems this administration will go to any lengths and stoop to new lows in order to cover its ass rather than being accountable for its actions whether acting completely aloof or finding sacrifical pawns to take the fall only to have them promoted a few months after.
This is so similar how Commissars were rotated around in the Soviet Union...

You do not understand the slightest thing about
conservatives. Merely calling one's self a conservative doesn't make one conservative. No actual conservative would join or stay with the IRS. To true conservatives the IRS represents an overbearing government, a government that does not champion personal liberties. No political conservative believes in taking another's money under threat of law. A Republican MAY believe that's O.K.,but a true conservative doesn't. No conservative favors a leviathan government, nor the meddling into private lives that always comes as a result. You may not be able to stand the sight of a true conservative, but he is probably the only person in the world who would never try to take away from you what is rightfully yours. He is probably the only person in the world fighting for your personal freedoms and your right to life.

Thanks, Banjo!!
This guy claims to be a Conservative, Republican? Not a chance. It's a complete fabrication to cover the radical left morons that work in the Federal Government. Their culture of corruption is not a secret to anyone.
I know what consertive republican means,
1- Don't believe anything that don't fit into his/her agenda
2- Hates the working man
3- Hates America
4- Thinks that republicans has never done anything wrong in the history of the party
5- Two faced and talk out of both ends of his body at the same time.
There is more but that's enough for now
