I don't fly it if I can be there within 3~4 hours as I love road trips, but over that I do fly..
Heading out shortly to start the ride down and yes I'll stop in every little make shift veggie stand going down... First getting some blue eggs to take down from a place I hope is still open .,.
Have yourself a beautiful day!!🌹👍
TY. And you have a great trip. I like to drive, And even prefer it to the strip searches they like to give out at the airport. I drive to Mich. I drove to Va. to my Son's Wedding. If I am in a hurry, I take the EX-way. If I am just taking a trip for myself, I take some backrds. And YES! I stop at those roadside grocery stores too!!! LOVE FRESH produce!!
When I went to Tunica, Ms. one time w/a friend, I had to drive 50 mi. east to her house, spend the night, get up at 4:00 am to get ready to go. Drive almost another 100 mi, e. to Atlanta, to Park, take a bus to the Train, or subway, to take us to the airport, then walk almost a mile to check in, fight with the NSA about a TINY little knife in my purse, that I forgot I had, I gave it to them, then walk some more to get to the plane. Fly for an hour, get off, wait for our luggage, then take a bus to the Hotel. Took the WHOLE day. If I had driven, we would have been there in HALF the time, and we would have had a vehicle to drive somewhere and look at stuff. Then to go home, another stripsearch before boarding, and everything in reverse. That was the LAST time I have ever gotten on a plane.
If you really enjoy the flying and don't really mind the hassle of getting TO the plane, then it would be OK, but I enjoy driving, and I prefer it. If I absolutely HAD to be somewhere, in a short time, then I would probably go to the airport the night before, get a room, and start from there., hold my breath through the stripsearch, then when time to come home, rent a car and drive. One time I drove straight through from Mich. to Texas, when I just wanted to get home and relax, after an especially harrowing trip up there. I did stop at my Sister's in Wichita Falls, took a shower, and a 30 min nap, had dinner with them and headed home to Abilene. But I was YOUNG then, and sometimes SILLY.
But, HOWEVER you get there, I sure hope you have a SAFE and VERY enjoyable trip!!!
