Not trying to be difficult, but I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. My fingers are stiff today, don't know about yours.

They hate the military and only use it for personal gain. They continually undermine the defenses of the United States with their continual blockage of benefits and pay scales, they are the laughing stock of the world for their antics, they continually show they are anti-American with their hate, racism, bigotry, misogyny, their attempts to rewrite history and the Constitution, their theological thuggery, their destruction of family values and most of all just being plain asswipes.
It's very obvious that republicans are unpatriotic... (show quote)

That doesn't make any sense at all. Most of the posts on this subject have had some basis in fact, but this one is just bile.

I have always believed that those who support abortion on demand are just evil, and I will probably continue to think that, but from what has been posted here (apart from the post quoted above) it would lead me to believe that it is the party leadership that is at fault.

The members of the party (the actual Democrats and Republicans) all have a sincere belief in the principles of their party, but the leadership of both parties have turned inward, being solely interested in power.

Look at Boehner, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, McCain etc and see if they truly represent the values of their respective parties.

Every time I have seen a Democrat candidate who seems to make sense, I have seen later that he or she was lying only to get elected, and switches to radical soon after. Many Republicans do the same, I will admit. I would never vote for a Democrat, they have proven themselves to be against America and all it stands for. At least the America I knew.

If we all were able to put pressure on the leaders of the parties to force them to honor principles and values, maybe we could move forward and truly do what our hearts and minds tell us is right.

If this does not happen (and it has little chance I agree) many of us will simply not vote. I will not vote, for example, for a candidate who supports amnesty or for another bloody RINO and if that means Hillary wins, so be it. Better that the country crashes than it continues on the path it is on right now. If it goes down in flames even the Democrats will have to come to their senses.

A slow descent into socialism/communism/fascism, which we are on now, is like the boiling frog and many people will become accustomed and not realize what is happening. If there is starvation and blood in the streets they will have to wake up.

I'm not for across the board amnesty if that's what you were trying to say. Just because someone jumps across the border doesn't give them a pass --- but the children of those who did so long ago consider themselves Americans. I think "they" should have some sort of pass. Why do you think the Party will be killed if they vote for amnesty? I ask because I want to know why you feel that way.

For example if all a candidate can do by way of proclaiming his qualifications is throw mud.. I'm going to throw my vote the same way he throws mud (To his opponent). Cause there is too much stinky mud in Congress already.

But in the last election.... A strange and to this point unique thing happened. I voted Democrat.. I mean I could have just "Pulled the paryt lever" and saved time.. NOT one Republican smelled sweet.. Every Republican who spoke up suffered from alimentary canal reversal it seemed. (Of course since they are against education, epically science education, I suspect they may not know what that means, Well educated Democrats will know though). I mean some of the stinkiest **IT came out of Republican's mouths I have ever heard from politicians. And it's still flowing.. I think it's time for that party to pack it up and leave.

I was a loyal Republican my entire adult life...until John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate. That was the beginning of their abandonment of their principles and the opening for infestation by the theocratic Tea Party. It's been all downhill for Republicans ever since. If they don't turn it around soon, the party will vanish, and that won't be good for the country.

So, you were a Republican as long as they acted like Democrats. I have heard this "I used to be a Republican, but now I cannot be one because they are no longer liberal enough" story more times than I can count. It is all bull because it is always followed by the only way Republicans can survive is to be Democrats. This is just more DNC talking points to try and swing people their way. Insightful people know it for what it is and are not fooled by it. Who is the last Republican you voted for to be President and be truthful because we will know if you try and con us?

Well, I live in a similar area and I do get where you're coming from. "Greed" by employers, regardless of where they are in the food chain, is in my mind the culprit here. Bigger bang for less bucks and hey, if the American public becomes collateral damage, they just don't care. If amnesty comes, would you become an Independent?

I think vern answered your question well, but I think there must be some other solution that nobody seems to have found yet. I don't think we have the infrastructure to identify 11 million people, round them up, determine whether they are legal or not, and deport them. Something akin to a legal alien status for a number of years before allowing them to pursue citizenship seems reasonable to me. I don't really think there would be many jobs lost to them. The reason they are here to begin with is their willingness to do physical labor jobs that Americans don't want. Denial of unemployment or welfare benefits for some lengthy period of time (10 years?) might help weed out those who are here for hand-outs.

If Amnesty comes we will all become the cattle being herded by the One Party Democrat Dictatorship system.
