Question: It’s clearly unpatriotic to be a Democrat; but is it immoral?

Democrats hate the military and are always working to undermine America’s defense so we have no protection from their international friends. When they are in power, Democrats always act in ways that favor America’s enemies and insult our friends. Hearing Democrats say they are embarrassed to be American is commonplace from newsrooms to the highest offices of our government.

Democrats have urged surrender in every conflict we have been in since Viet Nam. Immediately after a terror attack, Democrats jump to act as apologists for those who would see us dead. It is hard to find a Democrat under 60 who is patriotic, and it’s a good bet that those who ran off to Canada in the 1960s and 70s are today’s most reliable Democrats.

Clearly Democrats are not patriotic, but there is good evidence that they are immoral as well.

They are the Party that has gleefully declared itself enemies of God. They have booed God’s name. They cheered Barack Obama during his phony government shutdown when he threatened to arrest Catholic priests who tried to minister on federal property.

Bloodthirsty Democrats see even partial birth abortion as a secular sacrament and worship gay “marriage.” Their stranglehold on healthcare has endangered the lives of millions of Americans. Poverty levels under Democrats are always climbing because of their greed and avarice.

Their deficit spending immorally burdens future generations far into the future. They want to go easy on criminals while stripping us of our right to own guns for protection.

Government-run schools in Democrat-controlled cities are among the worst in the country. They constantly promote class warfare, pitting rich versus poor and vice versa.

They are underrepresented in our military and over-represented in our jails.

Surveys show they are the least charitable among us, preferring to spend the money they tax out of other people rather than their own.

By any standard, Democrats are clearly unpatriotic and immoral.

By his own words Obama is unpatriotic. He said a 9 trillion dollar debt was unpatrriotic and has now given us a 17 plus trillion dollar debt. Of course, his minions try to tell us how 17 trillion under Obama is better than 9 trillion under Bush.

If Democrats so hate the military why is it the REPUBLICANS cut the funding which would have allowed the military to provide proper security for our embassies. and such?

Sorry kido, you got it backwards.

OOOOh I love playing the blame game, because only rational grown up people play this...

Yes but it was the Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense who allocate where the funds go so why did they choose environmental studies over securing our embassies???

See it never ends both sides have severe issues, I say fire them all and elect Kindergarteners.

There hasn't been a Republican in office in Chicago since at least 1980, probably longer.

For some reason I had thought Al Capone shot all the republicans in Chicago, I figured they just didn't go around them parts any longer. lol

I find it sad that Americans have an incessant need to define ourselves with labels.

Have you ever met or had a real discussion with any of these people?
Logic and common sense says you cannot classify a whole group of people as unpatriotic and immoral.

I, too, have learned not to label myself. No matter, because there are those on OPP who do it for me. That said, those who do label themselves "perhaps" do so because they either (a) enjoy being a lightning rod, enjoy being a target or (b) are secure in themselves, seeing only the best qualities of a label in themselves, NOT the knee-jerk perspectives of others who can only ascribe negativity to the "label." My opinion, mind you.

I spent 20 years on the south side of Chicago living and working in poor neighborhoods. Every time Republicans were in office, it seemed that services to poor people were cut. It's really hard to see real people who are affected by these cuts. My present governor has cut 50000 people off of Medicaid. This would be laudable if all of them were abusing the system. Here is where we should focus our attention: the fraud and abuse. My Republican friends(yes, it is possible to have friends of another persuasion) have shown me that many of these government programs would be better done on a local level.
I also have a friend who is a constitutional conservative. He was devastated at the last election. I chose to spend time trying to console him rather than listen to a victory speech. I would much rather see intelligent discussion of topics on this forum, rather than name calling and labeling.

SECSTATE and SECDEF have only limited ability to allocate where funds go. Budgets passed by Congress are very specific. Funds for environmental studies and embassy security would come from two very distinct appropriations.

I think the author of that piece on unpatriotic people had it backwards.

The unpatriotic and the immoral people choose the Democrat party. Democrats do not stand for those things. The Democrat party panders to that demographic, and they do that because they only care about votes and power.

The Democrat party is only about votes and power, but has no other principles. Some people join the Democrats for the power, and they lie to themselves that they believe the Democrat party is pro-America, and the Democrat party lies about itself to attract those few voters, but in truth, the Democrat party will say anything to get a vote. They don't beleive in anything American, good, moral, or honest. They only want votes and power. They will say or do anything if it will get you to vote with them.

For many years (I am in my 60's) I voted a split ticket because I look at each candidate to see either 1: Who is best or failing that: Who stinks less.

For example if all a candidate can do by way of proclaiming his qualifications is throw mud.. I'm going to throw my vote the same way he throws mud (To his opponent). Cause there is too much stinky mud in Congress already.

But in the last election.... A strange and to this point unique thing happened. I voted Democrat.. I mean I could have just "Pulled the paryt lever" and saved time.. NOT one Republican smelled sweet.. Every Republican who spoke up suffered from alimentary canal reversal it seemed. (Of course since they are against education, epically science education, I suspect they may not know what that means, Well educated Democrats will know though). I mean some of the stinkiest **IT came out of Republican's mouths I have ever heard from politicians. And it's still flowing.. I think it's time for that party to pack it up and leave.

One of the most outrageous things I find about the left is the screaming for their rights while they insist others rights are taken away. This idea that someone is entitled to rights on the backs of the labor from others is very disturbing. I am all for everyone having the same rights. That includes my right to not have to pay for someone else to have the same rights that I have provided for myself.

Reading your last paragraph gives me the strong opinion that you have been "yanking" the democratic lever for a long time.

If you voted for Obama in the last election, you are certainly more concerned about continuing to receive your Social Security and Medicare, than about our freedoms and the loss of our constitutional rights during the first four years of Barry the Crackhead.
