Where do you get your theory of economics. As I stated earlier there are BOTH State and Federal Taxes deducted from income. What is deducted as Federal, goes there. State taxes go to the states. Each state sets its own schedule of taxes. In addition to income taxes, they also have various others such as those on purchases, assets, mortgages. I don't believe the states contribute to the support of the Federal government. They are always asking for handouts from the FG for infrastructure and to cover any natural disasters.

In the town I presently live the state received a grant for wheelchair access on almost every corner. Many times the ramp leads, not to a sidewalk, but onto grass. The city was unable(?) to implement these and got them done only because of a Federal Grant.

You must be quite paranoid to believe that the only expenditure of the Federal government should be directed toward defense. I'm sure you are not associated with the arts and education, but what about some support for them? Every industrialized country in the world supports the arts; some also support athletics, medical research, etc. No, you think only of aggression.

Actually, Alex, the federal taxes come from the people ( of a State) which could be interpreted as coming from the State because the State could collect the taxes instead of the Feds. So, an argument can be made that those taxes come from the States.

However, there are taxes that come directly to the Feds, not from the people but from taxes levied on goods coming in and out of the U.S. Ports as are tariffs. Any taxes collected from any Federally owned property, which are the ports and other properties such as National parks etc. really don't come from the States but go directly to the Feds as the property is owned by the Feds.

In short, not all taxes are taken from the coffers of the States, but most are.

I don't have a clue where you live, nor do I care. Possibly you live in the White House and are as clueless as the others who live there. Your claims are not worth the spittle on your keyboard as they are convoluted and turned inside out. There is so much wrong with your thinking that there is no way I will make any attempt to help you straighten it out.

One thing I WILL address to correct you, however, is that you say conservatives want everyone to live the way they live. That is partly true because we live decent lives, we are honest, we do not cheat, steal, lie, or screw around. We do not celebrate depravities, and we do not worship movie stars, politicians, or sports stars. We believe in the American way and we support our troops and we adhere to the US Constitution. Those are the ways we want others to be like us. We have never tried to force you, by threat, to live like us. The only exception being that we want babies to have the same protections as serial killers have when it comes to life.

OTOH, it is the political left who wants behavior legislated so that behavior that is not to their liking is CRIMINAL and punishable. It is the political left who voted in this travesty for a "President" and praise his idiotic edicts and his disdain of the US Constitution. It is the political left who praises "art" that is obscene and hateful. It is the political left who pushes the envelope and when it isn't liked by others, it becomes criminal for anyone to dislike it. It is the political left who uses the terms of control such as : hate speech, hate crime, racism, homophobe, republitard, etc. These are but a sampling of the caring, lovable left leaning communists in this country today. And the "President" the political left installed in the White House is THE biggest problem America has. He's a bigger problem than corporations, big business, big labor, big money, conservatives, liberals etc.
