Guns are made to cause harm. The only time they do not do so is when they are not used at all (or of course, if the shooter has poor aim, but even then there is potential for harm to someone/something else.)

No one can know what the intentions were of the one who invented guns. The fact remains...Guns can do no harm unless a human pulls the trigger. They are a tool. Just like any other tool. Shotguns are used for skeet shooting. .22 cal air rifles are used for target practice. A bow is also used for target practice. Guns are not the problem. They are inanimate objects. Think about this. Before we had guns, it was the strong who oppressed the weak. Is that what you want to go back too? Would you want your wife, or girl friend, or your daughter to have to use her own strength to defend herself against a stronger opponent? Guns are a fact of life. They aren't going anywhere. If you want to reduce gun violence, you need to go after the people who use them for violence. That's been proven to be the only thing that works.

Guns have been redesigned and mastered to an extreme efficiency to kill for the most amount of kill in the least amount of time....do you see a problem their as a tool for anyone to get their hands on and use. This is the soul reason for mass murdering.
