Ginnyt, or anyone out there (Banjo, AuntiE) who can give me tips on the use of apostrophes, especially in case of possessiveness..I could use some help. I am always a bit uncertain! Example: Before or after the "s"..when or where. Also, in pluralities.

My pet peeve, if I may, is the lack pr capitalization of proper nouns. I am especially apalled at the lack of respect for our countrys' historical documents: The Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, etc. Is it just my OCB kicking in?

First "OCB" would be what?

Apostrophes are EASY.

Singular equals before the "s".

Plural equals after the "s".

OCB="Obsessive Compulsive Behavior." Most of us have it, to some degree.

Oh, and thanks, AuntiE!

Is this topic free of zealots and imbeciles and safe for good old bantering and chit-chat? Please tell this highly irritated and sadly disappointed right-winged republican that its say to say something?

A&E seems to be caving into the "Duck Dynasty" flap(sorry for the lousy use of wording). I guess that 14 million dollars a week the program brings in carries some weight after all?

Does anyone make good old fashioned Divinity for Christmas anymore? Since mom passed I haven't had it and am sorely missing it. Tried to make it a couple of times and all I could manage was some thick sweet soup-never claimed to be a real good cook when ti comes to candies and desserts.

Your "state of confusion" has nothing to do with your being from TX.

I come across it rarely, but not as good as my mother used
to make at home. There are cousins in my Family who make it, but I am not seeing them, this year!
