And people say that he is not the Grinch who wants to steal Christmas. Perhaps he does not celebrate Christmas?? I bet that this would not be tolerated if one of these dancers was his own daughter. No! That would be raciest!!

That would be Slatten49. You can go to the Home page (see above right before Political Newsletter) you can normally find him as a contributor. Just click on him and you can find his threads or send a PM (Private Message). If he is not listed, from "Home" you can enter a search for him. Good Luck

From the information given, it seems the bad goes to American University: publicity=$. It does not seem likely that the school told Matthews and Obama, "Hey, we're kicking out a dance troupe of little kids to clear the stage for you guys: you good with that?" How far in advance was the event scheduled? Did the school just forget to inform the dancers until the last minute? Why didn't the troupe find somewhere else? If as the article says there is all this space available to hold the Obama interview, it would also be available for the rehersals. But this is typical of Fox: the llittle touch to stir up hate. Maybe the article wants to suggest that Obama or Matthews or both knew about the dress rehersals and chose American University out of unreasonable spite.

That deals with the article but my heart breaks at the disappointment of these children. My only child was in ballerina classes when she was young. I know how I would have reacted if they broke her heart. Add to that "The Nutcracker" was a regular holiday tradition for her and I, and rockets would glare.

It is typical of you to place blame, wherever warranted, on FOX or other Conservatives rather than where it properly belongs. Are you biased and/or racist?

Ok, tell me if that short piece was not for the sole purpose of stirring up a little disgust or hate towards MSNBC, Matthews and/all/or Obama, though in all likelihood they had no knowledge of what the university did? It slants it that MSNBC is somehow complicit. The member who posted it blames Obama. That is neither a fact in evidence nor bothered with by the writer. Try reading it without bias and if you can honestly say it was not merely a piece to stir the pot with political spin towards three entities that may be entirely blameless, I will retract my comments.

Are Fox News or Conservatives a race?

Ok, tell me if that short piece was not for the so... (show quote)

Is MSNBC or Liberals a race? Your attitude towards Conservatives, and FOX in particular, shows a definite bias.

But you stated this: "It is typical of you to place blame, wherever warranted, on FOX or other Conservatives rather than where it properly belongs. Are you biased and/or racist?"
How can my "blame" be racist unless you are considering Fox News and Conservatives to be a race? (Different races I was not sure of.)

So I guess I can take it as you did not come back to refute my assessment you now honestly see it for what it is: a hate piece, and the few people that actually commented on the piece, along with the author of the thread, bear this out.

I didn't mean to infer you are racist. I just threw that in because whenever anyone disagrees with Obama they are immediately denounced as a racist regardless of the subject matter. It wasn't my intent to disparage or denigrate you. Please don't be offended by my lack of clarity. If an apology is required consider it tendered.

Wow, I didn't go anywhere near there from your comment; no apology necessary but thank you just the same. I now see what you were alluding to; was wondering how blaming Fox News could be considered racist.

I have gone through all the reports regarding this issue. This is what I learned.
1. The dance company had rented the space last January.
2. All the children are white..... video at the bottom of this article http://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2013/12/05/obama-american-university-ballet-company/3877009/
3, Obama insisted the interview be in front of college students http://lonelyconservative.com/2013/12/childrens-nutcracker-rehearsals-scrapped-to-accommodate-tinglesobama-interview/
4. The university, although stating they will compensate, did not offer an apology

Some will say, so what kids get over things easy and no harm was done. To those people I say, you have never rehearsed for a play or been a dancer. To cram two days of work into the same day as the performance is not easy and can do physical harm. The children (not all ages was given, but the "Mouse" is only 7) will be tired! When you are tired, you make mistakes, mistakes in dance can result in broken ankles, legs, striated muscle tissue, dehydration. Then people will say, well an interview with the president does not happen all the time. Again, you do not watch TV; he is always in campaign mode and not a day passes without seeing him making a speech--little wonder that the congress complain that he does not meet with them. An alternative site could have been arranged, why did it have to be in front of college students....oh ya, Obamacare is failing because college age kids are not participating as required. So, next you will complain that I made an issue of the dance company being white children. Think about this, would he have bumped a black dance company? And really, I am not the only one who thinks that he is NOT impartial. But, that is for another time.
