Bush drove this country into the ground by increasing the national debt enormously. Under Obama, the national debt has been dropping. GO FIGURE.

I guess, like Rush, Glenn and FOX, 11, pissing-off secular liberal progressives, world-wide, was "Dubya's" greatest "accomplishment"!!! And, of course, ridding the world of Hussein [Saddam not Barack], and stopping the WMD genocide-type executions of the thousands of Kurdish Muslims in N. Iraq, insuring that the remains of the tons of WMD's were either buried in Iraq or transported to Syria - where "crossing-the-line" in the next administration, and pulling-out ALL the American troops in Iraq, handing over trillions - that's TRILLION$, with a "T," TRILLION$ of dollar$ worth of the most technically advanced American military equipment to bestow directly into the enemy hands [rather than all the crap that had to be stonewalled about Benghazi], allowing ISIS to invade and conquer all the hard-fought territories "WE" had...there I go wasting my time again, trying to explain the REAL, humanitarian America to the "pigs 'WE' [used-to] seem to always cast OUR pearls." Damn shame the "o'zombies" now posing and posting on OPP [and America] as mere low-information useful idiots. Damn shame.

On the plus side, the Kurds have the beginnings of Kurdistan. Now, if Obama could stand up to the Turks, ....

9/11 was planned for over two years under Clinton who failed to stop OBL when he had the chance and let other terrorist attacks go unpunished. Any chance we will ever get truth and not just liberal spin from you? Nah!

Yeah, Sussman's post is bullsh!t.

Bush cannot be held accountable in any way for the 9/11 attacks. If you want to point fingers at intelligence failures, you have to go back to Bill Clinton's CIA reforms. He and his cronies implemented policies that defanged the CIA--those policies effectively destroyed the entire field missions of agents in hot zones. The CIA was overloaded with PC bureaucrats and almost 90% of the field agents were pulled out of the ME. Even those who remained could no longer recruit indigeoous insiders to do the dirty work.

Apart from his profligate spending, GW Bush's biggest accomplishment was his biggest failure--he paved the way for Obama. Now our nation is in some really deep do do.

All that happened prior to Obamanation is irrelevant. The rubber band that connected Bush to anything happening now snapped a long time ago.
Yeah, Sussman's post is bullsh!t. br br Bush can... (show quote)

You need a course in Religion 101.

ISIS is Sunni. Sadaam's army was Sunni.

The current Iraqi gummint is Shia. The current Iraqi army is Shia.

Sadaam's solgers are not in the current Iraqi gummint's army. Sadaam's Iraqi solgers are with ISIS.

Do your homework!

The rest of your info was just as good.

Bush ignored multiple warnings from Dick Clarke and Tenant because he figured a little hijacking would have minor cost and major implementation of wartime crisis opportunity to do regime change, which was the pre-inauguration agenda.

You are so naive!

Overall, I’d argue that the “who increased the debt more?” debate is rather silly. The bottom line is that Bush and Obama have continued an American tradition that’s been the norm my entire lifetime: spending without regard to revenues.

That still does not erase the fact that W paid no attention to the warnings he had several months before 9/11 happened. Quite an accomplishment, I would say !

The yearly national debt has been dropping since Obama took office. It is considerably lower now than it was during W's presidency. Furthermore, W. used an accounting trick that didn't even count the cost of the way in national debt calculations.

The figures are never regarded as "silly" when Republicans state them and misrepresent them, so they aren't silly now. Let's be consistent.

This is an irrelevant statement. We are talking about what W did.

You have predictably missed the point of my initial post. I put it there -- and now the secret must come out -- not to learn about W and his accomplishments, but to learn about the opinions of W's supporters. Predictably, you conservative Republicans worship the group W Bush walked on, but cannot justify your admiration by detailing actual accomplishments ! YOU FELL FOR IT !

According to the White House's Office of Management and Budget, during his eight fiscal years, Bush ran up a total of $3.283 trillion in deficit spending .

In his first two fiscal years, Obama will run up a total of $2.826 trillion in deficit spending ($1.294 trillion in 2010, an estimated $1.267 trillion in 2011, and the $265 billion in "stimulus" money that was spent in 2009).

Thus, Bush ran up an average of $410 billion in deficit spending per year, while Obama is running up an average of $1.413 trillion in deficit spending per year — or $1.003 trillion a year more than Bush.

What is the current Debt ? 18 T
