Once more, by definition, an "assault" rifle must be capable of selective fire. The definition also limits the cartridges and calibers to those of intermediate power, suitable for use in a selective fire weapon. There is no such critter as a "semi-auto assault rifle." You wanna ban those? Fine. Be my guest. Ban hobbits while you're at it, because they don't exist either.Maybe there should be a "hobbit season." The words "assault rifle" is way over used. An ASSAULT rifle, to me, is one that can be set and fired on AUTOMATIC mode. Liberals like to classify anew AR-15 type rifle as an ASSAULT rifle because of just the way it looks. For all intensive purposes, it is just a SEMI automatic weapon.
ASSAULT weapon--pull and hold trigger, and it keeps shooting until it runs out of ammo in its magazine.
SEMI automatic weapon- ONE squeeze on the trigger, and ONE bullet fires.

Whoa, I have an ar and practice with it religiously. I don't believe that any weapon the government has should be banned. If they got it I want it. :-P
I think everyone should have one.(well everyone with enough common sense to use them in the correct manner.) I personally believe that the number of guns in public hands is what has kept war from coming to the streets of this country be fore now, and banning any of them would probably end in just that.

I prefer the US military style semi-automatic weapons. The older style AR15 with standard bolts were susceptible to jammings when they got too dirty, but the new ones with gas piston bolts are very reliable.

I have seen the bumpfire stocks. Another way is to fire it from the hip with your thumb hooked in your belt loop.
But, that is also a waste of shells.

Thanks, and I already have. Makes it an automatic weapon, and according to ATF, it still does not make it considered an "automatic" weapon, because it was not DESIGNED to be an automatic weapon.
Just a matter of time though until Obastard and his minions figure that out, and make it illegal also.

I have targets that are set up at 25 yards and sight your weapon to 300yds. After doing this I went to the 100 yd range and put 3 in nickel. That's not bad for a half baked Rudy poot. :lol:

the way i see it a rifle with a 50 shot clip is only milatary police fbi cia should be the only service using them. pistol and your standard hunting rifles for the public. you can defend yourself just fine.
