Kachina. I feel for you. I really do. I know someone who has been blinded by her sister, who is a dead brained lib. And I do mean dead brained. She really has mental issues, you can not have a rational discussion with her. She is all over the place, can not stay on one subject at a time and talks incessantly etc. She can not see this in her sister, but everyone else sees it and cannot even be around her as she is just a complete and utter whack job. She will not discuss bath house Barry, and almost becomes hysterical if you try to do so? Running around the house screaming, covering her ears. Does a rational "not" mentally ill person do this? Go to you tube, put in the clinton chronicles, and make him watch it to the end. If the book/video was not true, wouldn't the clintons have sued the writer years ago? Good luck.

Good idea. If Clinton actually gets the nomination and he is still singing her praises, I just might do that. Of course he will just blame the story on the GOP as so many Clinton supporters do. I must have dropped the kid on his head when he was a baby, not much common sense there.

There is an incredibly good book by Pascal Bruckner called "Tears of the white man,,, Compassion as contempt"

When I was a "radical Indian activist" (age 18) I picked this up and began to read,,,,,, and became a conservative as I saw the fallacy and lies of academia and the left wings activism throughout college. It was soooo cliche and phony....

When I joined the Marine Corps,,,, and went to war/overseas,,, I saw the lie that was left wing politics... the corruption, murder, racism and destruction... so many leftists here will not face the truth of what their policies do to others.... not as long as they can blame it on others....

I listed off everything she has been suspected of doing: emails, bengazzi, murder, corruption and her fake foundation. His answer was it was just a conspiracy by the GOP. I wanted to cry because he was so blinded to this woman's lies. Unfortunately I think there are still too many people just like him.

Old American Culture is now a square peg that no longer fits the round hole of New American Culture. There can be no easy coexistence.

Not all our youth is blind. Most of the younger people I know (some that work for me) discuss the changes that more or less, have created a loss of our First Amendment rights. There is nothing wrong with working to get things back on track. However, at times you do have to realize that some sick souls can never be trusted to NOT pursue the course of destruction that they have sworn to do no matter what.

You cannot define "getting in the gutter" as Not being willing to abandon your standards and morality....... that is what has kept us out of the gutter,, so long.....

Morality, standards, in fact "religious doctrine" has been the hands on the steering wheel...

When we let go of the wheel,,,, this truck is in the ditch...

I do not define it that way at all. It is defined by the manner in which one argues their view or dismisses the views of others. I do not read any sense of religious standards or morality in the manner of many's defense of their views/stances. It would serve all well to remember: "Take care of your thoughts when you are alone, and take care of your words when you are with people." Most both hear and listen more closely when one doesn't yell, and is civil.

Hillary will be supported even if she had been photographed with a Polaroid picture murdering babies....the lefties do not care how many laws or how criminal Hillary is....the same as how the left supports King Barry from Kenya.

Hillary will be sitting in a jail cell before the election. The lefties will STILL support her. Hillary is a sinking ship of fools.

that requires civility, from both sides,, myself I have been called a "squawboy""red ni--er""uncle tomtom","too lazy to work", "apple",,, and "white sympathizer" by the "civil and educated" left on this site......were I always talking to "YOU" that would be the case,,,, however,,, I must contend with hatefilled racist scum,,,, ie liberals

I used "you" not necessarily to define you personally,,, but the collective "you" who sees themselves as open minded and fair,, yet indulges in racist hatred when they cannot dominate the conversations through their own intellect... then of course they cry foul... after being quite foul...

I know of which you speak, Ve'hoe, and recognize what you are saying. But, it comes from all sides of the ideological spectrum. However, one side's bad behavior is not necessarily a reason for reciprocation in kind. It can only be used as an excuse. Usually, a more lasting and positive impression comes from one's besting another with civility.

Strangely,,, though one side professes to be the "good guys" looking out for us po dum injuns,,,, and givin us snap cards and abortions, they also hurl the preponderance of racial generalizations and epithets,,,,, even though not reciprocated I still get blamed for it,,,, and thereby they feel "justified: with their racism...

Frankly,, I have experienced otherwise with conservatives,,,,, while their first impression of an indian is similar to the democrats,,,, they quickly warm up when treated fairly, truthfully, and are very gracious in their acceptance,,,,, not so much on the left.

The left reaaaaalllllly despises a minority that doesnt conform and tow the liberal line.... which is where most of the racism hurled at me on OPP comes from... because of the standards, morals, and values I espouse... like truth for instance...

"My way or the highway, indeed."

Your last paragraph describes the very 'highway' one should make the effort to travel. On OPP, it is difficult to maintain a route to reasonable/rational discussion. Following this forum brings to mind a quote attributed to Dwight Eisenhower..."I despise people who go to the gutter on either right or the left and hurl rocks at those in the center."

How can any of us be surprised by the dissension within the ranks of our elected representatives? They mirror us...their constituencies. :-(
"My way or the highway, indeed." br br ... (show quote)

It's the chicken and the egg question again. Do politicians act this way because we do, or do we act like they do? I think the question is moot now days, as the solution is the same. If we can each recognize our belligerent behavior for the destructive force it is, we can modify it, but we'll never do so - if it's pointed out by another - human nature requires us to "double down" on whatever has been critiqued, as a response to being threatened.

That's the sad tragic comedy I see around me. We are kept in a constant state of threat, every minute of every day, so that we see everything as a threat, no matter how benign, friendly, well meaning or constructive it really is. I see your point about Ike's quote and it fits perfectly. By each of us taking the "moral high ground", according to our own interpretation, we wind up with millions of hills ( each with it's own King ) on either side, with both sides lobbying shells at the other - right over the heads of those in the center - which is now "no mans land".

I see your point and agree, for the most part, but I've discovered a hidden danger. Whenever a "side" gets caught violating it's OWN precepts, it's first response is to blame everyone else, especially the "other" side, and avoid taking responsibility for the mistake. Anyone too committed to one "side" or the other, is subject to accepting the excuses at face value and be lead into error - still believing they are standing their ground - even though it is no longer the ground they started with.

The only thing more slippery than an eel, is a politician, no matter what color they wear, so letting them set the battle fields for us - is a dangerous proposition. While we're busy trying to kill each other, at their behest, they're sipping martini's on a beach somewhere - else. Humans are sinful creatures and no matter how hard they try, they will slip into the mud given half a chance - and a great many don't try very hard. An entire ideology, or even a religion, can be corrupted easily - anytime too many follow too few - as it's greatest strengths are found when it's members caution each other and suggesting a "check yourself" moment - and accepting of such suggestions in return.

That is my point,,, so many minorities MUST villify the whites as though somehow your very personage and existance is based in how bad the other guy is.

In so doing you never develop "you" or anything about you worthy of notation,, or even emulation.

It is no difference between black or white racists,,,,, everything about them is based in or on how bad the other guy sucks.... I saw that early on,,,, and realized who the real enemy was....

Voting for barack obama because he is black is no different than voting against him,,,, because he is black,,,,,

Racism is not ever cured,,, by equal, yet opposite application, of more racism.....

And when you are paying attention to that aspect of each other,,,,, a politician is picking your pocket...
