Wow Elwood, that video brought back some memories. The last time i saw Vicki i think i was 11, they had gig in the top floor lounge of i think it was the Sheraton hotel in Birmingham. They let sit next to the stage and drink cokes because i was "with the band" hehe. Musta been '74....geez a freakin lifetime ago. Vicki was a very sweet lady, hell she treated me like i was HER brother. I sure miss those days.

Ah, sweet memories. Don't we have them all. I remember being stranded at the Frankfurt Airport in Germany in 1963. Thelonious Monk and his band and I shared benches. Thelonius didn't talk a whole lot but I spent a lot of time talking to his sax player, Charlie Rouse. My biggest thrill was meeting and shaking hands with Willie Nelson here in Jacksonville a few years back. :-D

When i 13 Gil took me to my first live concert....Johnny Winter And Live. The expression on my face was priceless when he took me backstage to meet Johnny, i had no idea that my brother actually KNEW him. Johnny was one cool cat, he taught me the rhythm part to rockin roll hoochie koo that nite and gave me an autographed copy of Nothin' but the Blues on which he plays a steel body dobro with a finger slide.
Unfortunately i lost it in a fire about 20 years ago. Those sure were "the days"

Urinals ???? That was the last thing we had to worry about. There was so much traffic on the New York Thruway, they had to close it down.
Fortunatly, the guy I went with knew all of the back roads and we were there in no time. Sure we had a little walking to do but that was some good times also. By the time we got near the entrance, the fence was knocked down and all you could see was a sea of freaks.
