Yes they do! However, we create them ourselves in Addictions. So many times when people feel helpless against dysfunctional or abusive forces around them, they also don't know how to cope or deal with it so they find and escape, and become addicted.
Also, recreation drinking and drugs can become very addicting to some youths as they play and experiment with them.

When asking an addicted person 'why' they do it: you will hear that demon began to speak, cry, and whine as to what is behind it they are helpless to, the problemed reason they do it, or just angrily tell you that they like it. Push them to much on the issue, and they will likely yell loudly in your face, or even try to fight you.

Addictions come in many forms, but all in all the person demeans themselves before the face of God, every day.

I think a lot of us are addicted or spend a lot of time on this forum, does that count as demon possession? Please take this as a light hearted non judgmental response as I do not want to make you h**e me, which of course only a demon would make you do such a thing. Just ask my mother, I am very lovable.

Responding to things on the forum, is not an addiction unless you consider getting to know people a little better one. In that case it is a good addiction. We learn a lot more about ourselves by our response to others than we ever would without it. You may not know how I think, but you get a good idea of what I think about sometimes. Sometimes it is pure BS, and sometimes not.

Why do you find you have to mock me for no general reason Art? Do I mock your comments, seemingly your person?
Needing to be social in any type of group or what ever is our nature and necessary for our overall wellbeing, it is not an 'addiction.' People are meant to be coupled, and are always trying to get that way. That is our nature as well, not an 'addiction.' I'm sorry, but myself, I don't find much in your comment 'lovable.' Maybe in another post of something.
The word H**e is used way to lightly in this forum. It is a very destructive, self imploding, controlling and domineering force that once eaten enough away at a persons heart and mind- becomes a walking living breathing devil on this Earth, spreading death and destruction. This is a True Demonic possession that theirs not much hope for.
That type of extreme possession is aided by deep rooted jealousies and fears, along with chronic alcoholism and/or serious drug addictions.

Was skeptical until I met my ex-Mother-In-Law...I now understand that she'll live forever because Heaven won't allow her in, Satan is afraid she'll take over, and if neither will take her, she'll just make her own Place of Eternal Damnation, effectively putting Satan out of business!

Lovely lady...

I feel much like you do, the other day I prayed that God would help me understand the seemingly growing advancement of evil and wickedness, I then opened my Bible and it fell open to Jeremiah 14, and I read the next few chapters, but one verse seemed to stand out, Jeremiah 15; 6 God is long suffering and wants all to come to repentance and be saved, but I believe that there comes a time when the stink of corruption becomes so great that God has had enough, I know that when you are bought with his blood that God will never leave or forsake you, but we as a nation are so close to Sodom and Gomorrah that it is easy to see how we have brought God's judgement on this nation

The real danger to those that believe in Christ, will be a battle of deluded persons that believe that their concept of religion is the only one that should exist (roman dominance) and an alliance with governments making it a crime to not see things their way.

With my current M-I-L, they're great...very sweet lady.

OTOH, with the ex-M-I-L, there was always a room full of her children (and their spouses) trying to find an excuse to get the hell out of there.

Once, she sent me, her youngest son (Chuck), and two Sons-In-Law (Kirby and James), out to get a few bags of ice...even though she lived, at the time, on the west side of Ft. Worth, we quickly agreed that the ice in Tulsa was much better...
