Well of course the President can and knowing how that POS deceived and defrauded this nation I have no doubt he did it toom. HE went in search of a warrant how many times?? I believe three times~ the first rejected by Russia..

Anyway~~

In Chapter 36 of Title 50 of the US Code *War and National Defense", Subchapter 1, Section 1802, we read the following:

(1) Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this subchapter to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath that—
(A) the electronic surveillance is solely directed at—
(i) the acquisition of the contents of communications t***smitted by means of communications used exclusively between or among foreign powers, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; or
(ii) the acquisition of technical intelligence, other than the spoken communications of individuals, from property or premises under the open and exclusive control of a foreign power, as defined in section 1801(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title;
(B) there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person is a party; and
(C) the proposed minimization procedures with respect to such surveillance meet the definition of minimization procedures under section 1801(h) of this title; and
if the Attorney General reports such minimization procedures and any changes thereto to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at least thirty days prior to their effective date, unless the Attorney General determines immediate action is required and notifies the committees immediately of such minimization procedures and the reason for their becoming effective immediately.
While (B) seems to contradict the underlying permissive nature of Section 1802 as it involves a United States person, what the Snowden affair has demonstrated all too clearly, is how frequently the NSA and FISA court would make US citizens collateral damage. To be sure, many pointed out the fact that Fox News correspondent James Rosen was notoriously wiretapped in 2013 when the DOJ was investigating government leaks. The Associated Press was also infamously wiretapped in relation to the same investigation."

He can authorize surveillance on foreign nationals he cannot on an American citizen with a court order. Only through FISA

Another contest for village odiot, but this one in a mental institution.
Read the FISA, not the war powers act. We were not at war, as war is declared by Congress.
A FISA warrant is required for any surveillance on an American citizen. Everyone who would have heard probable cause, issued the warrant and executed the warrant says it didn't happen.
Yet you persist in unsubstantiated allegations conjured from fairy dust. You need frontal lobotomies, the lot of you. My boys had better analytic tools than you when they were 10 years old.
First; what are you alleging? What do the haruspices tell you?
Next; who do you say did this? You think Obama himself went to Dump Tower and wired it?
Third; the "tapps" found nothing? So, you're saying nothing of any moment ever happens in Trump's lair? They wired his neighbor and found he sounds exactly like Trump?
Fourth; this perfervid conspiracy occurred with whose complicity? Justice? NSA? CIA? FBI?

I'll bet when you were born the doctor slapped your mother. Repeatedly.

Yes they did, including Obama, but not Trump as he is a businessman who said that tax c***ting is what a smart businessman does. So far, no one knows what Trump will actually do for Americans as he seems more interested in his theatrics and winning.

As usual, the lefties like you continue to lie through your teeth. Trump never said that "tax c***ting is what a smart businessman does". He said that taking advantage of the loopholes in the LAW is smart. He also said that the tax laws need to be changed to close those loopholes. All of your "heroes" like Pelosi, Shumer, Reid, etc. "take advantage" of those same loopholes, and if you don't know that, you're dumber than you sound!

SB37 they have no real arguments so they take peoples words and obvious meanings and twist them to fit a false narrative. Trump being a non politician actually helps them in this endeavor. For instance when he tweeted Obama wiretapped Trump Tower I immediately knew he meant the Obama Administration, not Obama personally. The left latched onto his word for word statement and that's all they will talk about. The substance of the conversation will be the casualty.

What a frickin joke.

I think it was illegal for Nixon to wiretap Watergate too. Hmmm. Similarities maybe?? Obama is a snake.

Your ability to misinterpret the obvious is nonpariel. Look up the word 'synecdoche' then have an adult explain it to you. You ARE saying President Obama set this massive conspiracy in motion.
Which brings up the glaring flaw (surprise!) in your yarn. The WH doesn't have the devices to intercept, decode and archive telecommunications. Therefor, someone who does have the technology had to be on board. Now you must meet the denial by ALL such organizations that they had knowledge of any such effort.
It's called evidence. Try to keep up.

They were caught because they broke in and planted bugs. That technology has long since become antiquated.
Where's the evidence that someone broke in? Where are the bugs?
I suppose you "thought" you had the clincher. You had the usual wildly implausible speculation, done by people who believe the Orange Menace.
You call the decent people i***ts because, time after time, we eat your lunch.
Have mommy pack something decent if you're going to keep serving up melons.

Trump needs to wise up and play hardball. With Sessions recusing himself he leaves Obama loyalist's in control. I believe Trump needs to recess appoint his Deputy Attorneys General. What say you?

The usual ad hominen supposed by the poster to bully so that its lack of any substance becomes obscured. What do you say to the facts mentioned? Didn't understand did you O! Your Assholiness?
And, if you're anything remotely like an engineer, you are ethically bound to reveal what you've worked on so that we may avoid it and insurance companies may not court disaster by insuring it.

Trump is a mess and is having a hissy fit as evident by his tweeting about Obama wiretapping his Trump Tower. Trump knows he is involved with Russia and Putin and is also upset about the screw up that Sessions had. What a wasted of time and money Trump is doing, he obviously does not care about the responsibilities of our president and only likes being theatrical to get cheers from his supporters.

Why don't you shut up. No one listens to you, you're wasting you time.

Trump says wh**ever he wants and pretends to make people think he cares for them but he does not, he can not be trusted.
I know that some people take advantage of loopholes but that does not make it right, but they are still illegal, you should know that.

Stop the nasty Trumpy mouth talk, it is all f**e.
