Yes, his original post was a classic, and I gives him high marks for it.
I continually give a free pass to BB for being a Texan...although most Texans I know play 'Texas hold-em' a lot better than he does. It is a shame that, as a partner, he d**gs down WFOC with him. As far as the music goes...yes, I have been following you & SOL, but haven't offered much input. You guys are doing just fine. I did enter a few more in the other music threads.

I'm sure glad I read and posted that poem
some very kind words have been sent my way
both by pm and by post
and all I did was read it and post it
(but I felt it deeply)

BB, I hope you read the posts I have put up the past two days drawn from Reminisce Magazine. It is a publication that reprints personal letters and stories from days gone by. I will be posting them for a while. I find many of them reminiscent of my youth, as well as some from the time of yours as well as my Dad's youth, also.
Those threads topics are.... "Always pack a lunch," 'The joy of being a daddy's girl,' "Yes, chickens eat gravel!", 'I was so embarrassed,' 'Its nice to be back on the farm,' "When they saw us, they wept."

I will be posting 3-4 everyday until I run out of material. I posted four today...'My cool little cruiser,' 'Dusty dirt roads,' 'Petal to the metal,' &
'My lifelong car crush.'

This is an ode to 77 years of marriage
People often ask
was it blood,sweat and tears?
that led you to be married
for nearly seventy seven years?
And is it exercise and hard work
is that how its done?
to be one hundred and one
The answer is simple
there was never any fuss
it was never you or I
it was always just us
We expressed our love for each other
each and every day
and we continue to do that
since she passed away
We talk of the good times
never anything bad
we pray together each night
thanking God for what we had
So to answer your question
about living to a hundred and one
the answer is "attitude"
that is how it's done
(Chuck Masara)
Chuck now a hundred and three
still drives his car.he paints pictures and lives alone, since his wife of seventy seven years passed away, three years ago.
This poem he wrote two years ago ,shows his outlook on life.
I wanted to share it with you
the answer is "attitude"
