This is an ode to 77 years of marriage
People often ask
was it blood,sweat and tears?
that led you to be married
for nearly seventy seven years?
And is it exercise and hard work
is that how its done?
to be one hundred and one
The answer is simple
there was never any fuss
it was never you or I
it was always just us
We expressed our love for each other
each and every day
and we continue to do that
since she passed away
We talk of the good times
never anything bad
we pray together each night
thanking God for what we had
So to answer your question
about living to a hundred and one
the answer is "attitude"
that is how it's done
(Chuck Masara)
Chuck now a hundred and three
still drives his car.he paints pictures and lives alone, since his wife of seventy seven years passed away, three years ago.
This poem he wrote two years ago ,shows his outlook on life.
I wanted to share it with you
the answer is "attitude"

It was never you or I, it was always "Us"..
Boy that says it all right there..what a wonderful poem and man that wrote it...
I suspect you and your lovely are exactly the very same bobby...Something to be very proud of...
It was never you and I but it has been us all along is ever so beautiful....
Love your spirit, soul and kindred spirit as well... You definitely are one!
I think of times talking
I think of thoughts shared....
In all we express, it is what we feel that mends our way..
I need not know the physical you
I am blessed in knowing your heart...❤

I have to give kudos to this as well..."it was never you or I
it was always just us"
My wife was just telling me yesterday while in tears..."We need to stop taking each other for granted, we don't know what God has planned." My heart got real heavy.
Thanks for posting such a lovely poem BB. There are times that we, without even knowing, can say something that just reaches a bodies soul.
