I have eaten rabbgit quite a few times arch, my main problem with iut is that it tastes and has the texture of Chicken. I do not like poultry with the exception of Ostrich. Must be a family thing, none of my brothers and sister liked it and my father didn't like poultry.

There was a butcher store off I-295 south of Trenton NJ that specialized in horse meat. It was legal in New Jersey in the seventies. I don't know if the laws have changed or if that place is still there. I never bought any because the price was higher than beef and I wasn't sure if it would taste good without being sliced paper thin and grilled.

An overabundance of game is a good thing if you can shoot them. We have an over supply of Gray Squirrels in my town. We can't shoot them, but we can live trap em. No matter how many you get rid of, all you do is create vacancies for more. I relocate them to where you can hunt them. My buddy hunts them out at his place. I personally don't like skinning them. Birds are so much easier to deal with.
