I never understood the issue with horse meat. Look at all of the other stuff we eat! Some people will eat Sushi, which is not food at all. It's bait. Some people eat fish eggs that taste like a salted catfish. The list goes on, and on. I like rattlesnake, and the testicles from a bull calf myself. But, hey! It ain't for everybody!!
We have an over abundance of cottontail rabbits here, and my wife is going to learn to eat them this winter!
It's not hard to get over the cute when it tastes good!!

I have eaten rabbgit quite a few times arch, my main problem with iut is that it tastes and has the texture of Chicken. I do not like poultry with the exception of Ostrich. Must be a family thing, none of my brothers and sister liked it and my father didn't like poultry.
There was a butcher store off I-295 south of Trenton NJ that specialized in horse meat. It was legal in New Jersey in the seventies. I don't know if the laws have changed or if that place is still there. I never bought any because the price was higher than beef and I wasn't sure if it would taste good without being sliced paper thin and grilled.
