A wise old man once told me that the hardest thing in life to accept, yet one of the most important, is that we never get to make the best choice in anything - life is a never ending series of least worst choices. Anyone who thinks Romney was not the least worst choice isn't doing much thinking - maybe a lot of feeling.

You're right! But, taken one step farther, it is crucial that people at least make an attempt to choose the best, not the best of two choices when a third more qualified is running, and by more qualified, I mean more in sync with the US Constitution - it will be a 3rd party member EVERY TIME unless that third party is on the political left.

Choosing the lesser of two evils is to choose evil. Gary Johnson is relatively innocent compared to Mitt Romney or President Obama.

Too bad Gary didn't get more of the v**es because he was, by far, the most knowledgeable and winnable candidate- had the republicans v**ed their principles instead of the "WIN", which didn't, Obama wouldn't have won. And that's not exactly true either. I don't believe Obama has EVER won an honest e******n.

I agree that Gary Johnson should have won more v**es. Also, I will point out that e******ns are never entirely honest. someone always c***ts, usually in places where c***ting is unnecessary. I expected Ron Paul to also do well, but he didn't. He was completely shut out at the Republican convention. Romney made a mistake in not allowing him to speak.

That is all water under the bridge now. This time I flatly refuse to accept the candidate that Karl Rove chooses for me. If Jeb Bush or one of the other "mainstream" Republicans win the nomination, I will v**e Libertarian again. As I have already said, I would happily v**e for Doctor Ben Carson, but he has already endorsed Rand Paul. I find Rand Paul acceptable, but that does not mean that I will only v**e Republican if one those two win. I am prepared to wait and see who gets nominated, but here again, if someone like Jeb Bush gets nominated, then I will v**e for the Libertarian candidate.

It's too bad about you guys losing 5 out of the last six P**********l e******ns, being on the wrong side of history has to be hard. It's obvious the American people are tired of the rich and ultra rich not paying their fair share of taxes, and having the working families pay for the schools roads, and high gasoline so the oil companies can enjoy big tax breaks. You will continue to fail at the polls until the Grand Ol' party decides to embrace the working class. rich278

On the other hand, most of the i******s could do all three or at least get by, even though they did not speak English at all. "

I agree., That is a first.

The country's school sysrems are to tilted on sending EVERYONE on the college track.

The country needs "blue collar" they used to call them, workers too.

That doesn't mean, uneducated, it means educated differently.

Just so I am straight on this.

Are you saying you will no longer help a member of you family, because they don't see the world, just as you do?

Family is for helping, that is what family is for.

The figures show that the upper 10% Pay over 70% of the taxes. http://money.cnn.com/2013/03/12/news/economy/rich-taxes/index.html But I still think the ultra rich and big oil get too many tax breaks. I say closing the tax loopholes is what is needed to make the tax system fairer. Note that part of what the rich pay goes towards maintaining a peaceful society. That way, the rich get to enjoy their riches without having to worry about a civil war which would be likely if there would be no hope for the average citizen to succeed in life. Taxes are what pay for the education of the working class. Education is what keeps America thriving.

Owl, Percentages make it sound unfair, but when Mitt Romney pays a lower tax rate than most seniors that live on SS plus some pension it begs the question who is in the best position to stand a bit more. Did you notice President Obama gave the working man a tax break for a few years and congress, by sequester took it away. rich278

Are you claiming that most seniors have an income exceeding $100K?

I must have missed the tax break being taken away by sequester, please explain.
