BoJester, you are completely right. None of those i***t hosts had any idea of what they were talking about. The guest's sole topic was the cuts being made to MEDICARE ADVANTAGE plans (for people age 65 and over). Hasselbeck thought it applied to younger women still in their child-bearing age, and the other i***t called it a "supplement" and suggested that AARP has an alternative. MEDICARE ADVANTAGE IS NOT A MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT!!!!! It is simply HMO-type Medicare, as opposed to regular fee-for-service Medicare in which you can go to any doctor who accepts Medicare patients (most of them).

Medicare Supplements are separate insurance policies; they pay the 20% that Medicare doesn't pay.

It's pretty obvious that none of the responders to your post know what they are talking about either. (I have held an active life & health insurance agent's license for the past 21 years, btw.)

When I saw the title of this thread along with who introduced it I had to think about the recent thing about the education of nearly all of the beautiful blondes on Fox News Channel and so I checked up on Hasselbeck and found that she has a BA degree from Boston College. Very few of those other women have stopped at that level of education and I agree that Hasselbeck is there only because of her looks. I was so very happy when they took Gretchen Carlson off that show and gave her her own show that I seldom miss.

Thanks for an intelligent reply, hopefully the mental cretins will be encouraged to learn before they run their ignorant yap.
Two quick points, today in the mail was a advertisement for AARP Medicare Advantage program, underwritten by United Healthcare. What was Varney trying to say? That UnitedHealthcare is dropping physicians across the country, but are still soliciting for new members?

Second, since you hold an insurance license, you probably have a better grasp of the whole debate regarding ACA.
Please share your observations and insights to help educate the h**ers.

Not at all unnecessary. If someone opts out of their Medicare Advantage plan because it excludes their doctor, they will fall under regular Medicare, and they will then need a supplement, whether AARP's or some other company's. It just wasn't relevant in the context of their conversation. The one guy on the right suggested that the AARP plan might be an alternative to Medicare Advantage. In a way, you could say that it is simply because Medicare itself is not usually sufficient coverage. That 20% it covers can be expensive!

How about we argue specific incidences? I can cite generalities too. You cited a specific event and I disputed it. You did not challenge directly what I said about the event.

Do not then go on a tirade about unnamed multiple examples of unfairness allegedly perpetrated by some fictional network. Use a real network name and give me real examples.

Unless you are not into serious discussions.

Why put up with it, just don't answer. Life is too damn short and I sure as hell wouldn't have him as a friend so why put up with it here?

You rant all day long about how rotten Obama is, and how corrupt the democrats are, but then complain when I or other supporters of the president or the government are filled with h**e when we point out how cons, republicans and the tea party screw things up.
So how is what I do h**e, and what you isn't? Inconsistent standards it seems
