Hillary's lies are so egregious it is hard to fathom if you know, as she does, how the system works. She claims she did not receive any messages "marked classified" on her server. She knew, and you need to know, it would have been impossible for her to receive anything "marked classified" on her system. When you work in a classified environment it is typically in a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Sometimes you have a SCIF within a SCIF. It is called compartmented because everything handled in that SCIF is restricted by a "need to know" and by having been given specific access to the requisite files. It generally takes a clearance above Top Secret to work in a SCIF. When you work in a classified environment you have a classified computer and an unclassified computer. Your classified network is completely separated, both physically and virtually, from anything outside the classified network. You have a classified email address within that classified network. Any time you send an email, a pop-up box comes up which forces you to indicate the highest level of classification of any part of the email, what the classification authority is, how many years before it will be unclassified, and any distribution restrictions, such as NOFORN or no foreign distribution. You cannot send the email until you put this marking on the email. Even if it is an unclassified email, you still have to indicate this information. If the email is classified, each paragraph has to have the classification level of that paragraph indicated in parentheses at the beginning of the paragraph. Since the computer recognizes it is operating in a classified network, even if you tried to send it to an unclassified network, such as the server in Hillary's house, the network would block that attempt. No classified network can ever send an email to an unclassified network. It was therefore impossible for Hillary to ever receive any email on her server "marked classified". So, when she makes her claim she knows she is stating the obvious, hoping most of the v****g citizens in America will not understand this.
So how can she receive a classified email on her server? One even had a paragraph still having a classification indicator at the beginning of the paragraph. Here's how:
A person sitting at a classified computer can choose a classified file from the system. They can edit the file, removing all the classification marking indicators, then save the file. They can then contact the system administrator and request that administrator to t***sfer that file to their unclassified account. The administrator has no responsibility for checking the classification of the file. That is the requestor's responsibility. When the request is submitted to the administrator, the requester has to fill out a form indicating the file classification level, the media on which the file is to be copied (in this case the requester's unclassified account), and other pertinent information. Once t***sferred by the administrator to the unclassified account, the email can then be sent to Hillary's unclassified server.
So what are the implications? It seems pretty clear that it would take some level of conspiracy or collusion between two people for this to happen. That, or an over-zealous person working in a classified environment who wants to lick Hillary's boots or curry her favor by committing espionage and breaking a ton of federal laws governing classified information to accomplish that. Obviously, she would never have asked someone to do this for her, would she have?
