They were using anything and everything they could find left over from WW2 and before. In the mountains, they were using crossbows.

I think a .22 magnum will hit a lot harder than a .22 LR. My son has tried his too many ways and found that his magnum was far more powerful.

Those 4500 troops you mention must be heavily armed and allowed to fight back, even fight as the aggressor when needed. Just sending the numbers is as sad as anything Obama has ever done. It is time to send a large enough force to handle things and then send Petreaous back over there since he used what he knew to stomp all over them.

Of course, see an armed man that is not part of the allied frce, shoot him. Use arety., tanks, air power to smash enemy concentrations, smash any vehicle not an allied vehicle, take fire from a house/bldg., take down the block. Obey the Sun Tzu lessons.

No, I don't. Likely they think it is a menu item at a Chinese restaurant. Every single thing that the great and wonderful O has done is contrary to Tzu's teaching and it has all failed. Remember, the best war is the one you don't fight because the enemy knows your force is completely overwhelming. O's tactics are all underwhelming.

I am sure they don't know who he was or what his talk was about. I bet none of his Muslim advisors would tell him the t***h about Sun Tzu if they knew it. They need to have him keep acting the way he has.

In the well reported death you speak of, the insurgents drove about 2 miles through the Iraq troops, were engaged by the US troops. Reportedly, all of the enemy were k**led by the US force. The young man k**led was the only US casualty..

The increase in troop strength is slow but ongoing and not as Obama policy of no troops on ground...

Are you really intimating that we have all those troops there to protect the Iraqis when they can't handle it themselves? If so, is there a chance that they are actually in combat from time to time and Obama keeps on saying they aren't. Nice try to stick up for Obama but you just can't protect him on too many things.
