The people in the south has a s***ery mentality, and feel insecure because they are cowards, I remember when in MIAMI b****s was not allowed to be in the city of Miami after 6:00 PM, and they need special permit from an employer to go to the city after 6:00 PM, b****s working in the hotels talked to white people looking to the floor not to the face, and in the bus black sit-down in the back, if no seat available in the back they can't sit-down infront, and b****s can't go to the restaurant. You are speaking of 50+ years ago, and yes there was discrimination, also in the North although it was more covert than in the South.
FYI the Civil Acts Act was signed into law by LBJ in 1964, not 1968. That was probably the only decent thing he ever did. Prior to ascending to the Presidency in 1963, he was one of the biggest, bigoted anti Black in the Country.

I am living in the U.S.A. I have a good memory, and read a lot about this country in the encyclopedia, today the american majority don't know anything about U.S. and the changes of the last 60 years.
