Congress, and greater powers that be, love to keep us ens***ed to petty bickering, for we the people to be at each other's throat in a paralyzing death grip. But not on each other but on our freedoms. Look at the hatred here, how any conversation or possible solution is stymied by the entrenched lines of vehemence and supposed irreconciliable differences. We have all been duped. A do-nothing Congress is not an accident. No jobs bills by either the House or Senate is not the fault of the Right or Left but the plan to keep we the people impotent. And we take the bait. Libtard and conservatard: this is their ammo supplied to us for democracy's suicide. Homocide is given as another option.

Many people are awake, but the "do-nothing Congress" continues to buy enough v**es to keep them in power. As long as people are willing to accept all the "entitlements" politicians (read "government") provide for a v**e, nothing will change. It wouldn't be so bad if they were paying for these "entitlements" with their own money, but they're not. It's "taxpayer money" that buys their v**es. Yes, the v**ers are divided in this country. But the division relates to those that are responsible for their actions and those that wish the government to be responsible. And unfortunately, never the twain shall meet.

You're right: The country is divided between the informed and ignorant; between the takers and the payers; between those of traditional mores and those who have re-defined right and wrong; between those who work hard towards success and the l***hes who sit on their butts and wonder why they aren't making $100k/year; between those who think America is an ideal as well a country and those who blame America as a scourge on the planet.

One other point I would like to make is typically when a conversation starts between a conservative and a liberal, it is the liberal who drops to name-calling, insults and obscenities when they quickly run out of facts to support their worldview. As a conservative, I would find it refreshing to hold a decent debate or conversation, but it takes two adults to do so. It's frustrating to be the only adult in the conversation. I am sure most conservatives in this forum would agree!

i agree wit you on that what has happen to being able to talk with people, i dont let what others thought but was taught to listen to what everyone has to say you can learn something even from a small child if everyone was like a child this would be a better place people think that children lie but they dont they are one of the most honest people in the world they havent learned to lie yet, they only speak from what they know and learn or taught.
i feel that i can talk with anyone. yes a closed mind is a wonderful thing to loose.I don't h**e anyone for what they believe , their thoughts have nothing to do with mine.

You are right on. It is obvious we are being used. All this liberal ,conservative stuff is all bull s**t. Both are just their useful i***ts. Our military is being trained to be used against us not the terrorist. I used to think Alex Jones was a laugh. Now I am starting to believe him more everyday. We are in real danger from our own government. I am absolutely frighten by the testimony of many of the military of what they are being instructed to do by their officer. Specially the national guard. The general we have now are all "New World Order" people and very dangerous.

I've said for years that Congress is the most dangerous enemy we have. Ergo, I am happy to see them NOT writing bills, NOT whittling away at our freedoms. As it stands now, NO ONE knows how many federal laws there are, and more are NOT NEEDED.

Are our politicians pulling our strings? OF COURSE THEY ARE! No one who is awake thinks otherwise. Where we may disagree is exactly WHICH politicians are doing so. Now if we cannot agree on certain t***hs, how do you propose for us to agree on lesser issues? All of us know that Obama is the most prolific liar within the US government. He habitually lies. If you can accept this t***h, perhaps you can accept the fact that people do not like being lied to and can become quite acerbic about being lied to, especially when he has all the arsenals and we have NONE. Obama has a democrat Senate which enables his lying and adds their own lies, mocking the citizens who are the v**ers. Re keeping us divided, this one time, it is the President who is most guilty.
