Is this not prayer,If we were to label prayer something different...say our inner conscious thought, a transcending conscious energy?

Is "prayer" more acceptable to the literal scientific world?

At the same time if people who pray could validate prayer as also a conscious energy, could they accept the validation that science/nature is part of God, part of the holy trinity.

Can this be a bridge for the believers and the atheists

There can never be a bridge between believers and those who are afraid the believers just MAY be right. I think it unwise to divide the groups into believers vs "atheists", though, because not all atheists despise believers, only those who are afraid of believers h**e them. Those who are trying to eliminate believers will NEVER do anything to make a bridge because the LAST THING THEY WANT IS A BRIDGE.......WHAT WAS ONCE THE BRIDGE WAS JOKINGLY CALLED "COMPROMISE" WHEREBY THE BELIEVER GAVE IN ON EVERY ISSUE. Compromise is NOT GIVING IN. Compromise is "I'll give in on this issue, YOU give in on that issue", but what the republicans have been doing for decades is GIVING THE LEFT WHAT IT WANTS WHILE RECEIVING NOTHING IN RETURN - AND THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY IN A NUTSHELL.

Non-believers don't fear that believers are right, but truly, believers fear that they themselves might be wrong!!

You are offering a false dichotomy: you seem to have divided humans into those who believe any belief system and believe it mindlessly and without any doubt and humans have invented thousands of these beliefs system to believe in mindlessly. Two of these systems are Christianity and Islam, and there countless sub groups of these. On the other side of your dichotomy you have atheism and I guess that would include those who mindlessly believe they know for sure there is no power or force that made everything happen.

I think a more evolved belief system is agnosticism which means I don't know and you don't know the mystery of it all will remain a mystery and humans should feel secure enough to be able to not fool themselves into thinking they know that which, at least at the present time, is unknowable.

Believers and nonbelievers tend to have very strong negative feelings toward those who disagree with them because it is serious threat to their fragile and fanciful belief systems on which they base their security.

Of course not. You either believe or not, there is no in between.

Wrong. There are those who fully admit that they just don't know.

It is impossible for some believers to loosen their manic grip on their belief system when they live in personal terror that they are meaningless specks on the universe and that there may not be any understandable purpose for it all.

Tasaine seems to be one of those terrified, unreasoning , true believing fanatics who clings to their nonsense with frantic energy and for deep seated hatred he projects onto other.

I think admitting that we just don't know is the highest level of human functioning. I don't see why agnostics, those who admit they don't know, are so despised by the true believers.

There is a very sensible between and that is simply, we don't know and to make s**t up to keep us from our deep seated insecurities and terrors doesn't work very well and causes us to h**e rather that lover each other.

On the same issue, I'm surprised true believers actually h**e anything at all. They should know their fate so well that all should be blissful for them. Believers and h**e is an oxymoron.

Your apparent inability to think is really terrifying.

I agree. Pass that on to Tasine who is the most hating of our true believers.
