Yeah, well, Florida didn't want me back on a permanent basis after living in damyankee land and then in Mexifornia. I was allowed visiting privileges for 30 days biannually for poor misguided relatives who have remained there.

Candidly, I could not leave quick enough..Especially with the weather changing and needing that seasonal change so much..I love Fall and snow...
Florida's summer were hot or hotter, with humidity that gave you a second shower within minutes of being outside..The only thing I liked about that was being able to get away with being in a bathing suit most of the time when gardening or when wanting exercise in mowing the yard..The lawn guy always got mad at me for doing it too..lolol
When I lived in San Diego, the weather was picture perfect every day!! Seventies in the day, fifties at night...Just perfect..Never rained, or barely ever did..Mountains on one side, the bay or Ocean on the other...
Family who has remained in Florida~~lol..Too cute...Do you think they regretted not leaving it??

No, los pobrecitos never knew anything other than humidity, water moccasins, gators and mosquitoes that fought over who got first bite. One learned to accept their ignorance and let them be.

Short lesson~~Ya nut~~
In Africa it's called kidubak. In middle east belly dance. In Hawaii its called hula dance. In native american culture it's the rain dance. Many cultures all had a dance featuring around the belly and womb of the woman.... Some for marriage ceremonies initiation, some for fertility prayers, and some for entertainment... There is no right or wrong way to hula dance as it varies tremendously around the globe..Other than the basic 6 steps used in movement..Feet, legs, hips, hands, arms and hula dips....Those I am going to show you in the vids I studied with..It is the lowering down and walking on your feet to move about in that lowered stance and it is danggggggggggg hard too!!!!
Tahiti, Hula, Polynesian, dance has its basic steps, hip movement/motion and hands..You want a fluid motion of the hips, controlled by your legs and gracefulness in hands, arms and motion...Solid motion of the hips is imperative and you follow the drum beat in movement..Striking hip sways that jab out as the rhythm changes... (defines the technique, as well as pronunciation of the action itself)..
These movements are said to actually tell a story or represent movements of nature such as trees blowing in the wind or fish swimming smoothly in the ocean....Hula has its origins in ancient history as a ritual dance performed for the Volcano goddess...Laka is the goddess most often referred to when it comes to modern Hula dancing...There are two main types of Hula performed today: the hula kahiko (ancient) and the hula auana (modern)....Though modern influence has touched Hula dancing, it still remains a beautiful dance to watch or perform. Its ancient roots can be seen in the movements that symbolize nature with all its contrasts - through and including war fare... war.
Hula~first I used to study the movements
http://youtu.be/u-LZuH_-o6gTahitian~~second I used
http://youtu.be/SnF3TpzvcAkIf you watch her legs and arms you will see what I mean about her legs controlling the movement of her hips and then the gracefulness of her arms and hand rolls..
Spread love, give, and live. no more h**e

lololooo..So did I land on my butt more than a few times..Its leg strength..I do aerobics and steps so have a slight advantage..I also have taken belly dancing for toning which helped tremendously here in learning this form of dance....I love music and dancing...
Don't give up....I lost an inch around my waist from practice and my legs are also stronger now....You cannnnnnnn do it!!! While you may not wish to learn the dance it is amazingly helpful in building strength and toning of your legs and arms........Even if you land on your butt..lolololololololllll That visual is hysterical!!!
