A felon touching a gun, is 10 years. Each time he/she touches a cartridge is 5 years, for every cartridge touched. Adding all the violations together, Would bring a sentence of over 900 years for all the individual felony acts involved. In just one crime, if the laws were fully prosecuted. It is time for this to be done!!!

Why is it "ridiculous"? If you were to impose severe penalties, and enforce them, you might actually see a reduction in the use of guns in crime.

Nothing is going to solve gangbangers, because they are never caught a; however, others are/can be an example.

I challenge you to come up with any post in which I demeaned my Church ladies. You may be recalling Ve'hoe who interpreted anything I said in his own way. That man has a lot of hatred in him.

Regarding the Ladies Home Journal as opposed to National Geographic, a couple of the ladies commented that I was the only one who preferred that magazine. This was a comment made by others. I have enough recipes I don't even get a chance to get to and my home is decorated the way I like it. I have better purposes for my time than looking at pretty pictures. My only comment was that I appreciate them in that they accept my disbelief in religion and do not hold me in disrespect. They have questioned my belief in the hereafter and I always tell them what is my t***h. Unless questioned, I remain away from the subject unless someone requests an answer from me. They are aware of my professional background and our conversations cover many areas.

Have not mentioned this in the past because I didn't believe it was necessary. For the last two years I supplied the flowers for the area in front of the building. I also give exercise classes to a group every Wednesday - no charge. I always look forward to laundry day. It is these ladies that make me want to return.

Now please come up with a statement I made that was demeaning in any way toward them. By the way, when we meet in public (shopping, etc.) we hug.

Do you realize that the government spends $40,000 a year for each prisoner and only $3,000 per each student in school? In addition, medical care is provided for prisoners. How much does that add up to.

Do you wonder why many prisons are privatized? It pays well and a number of the inmates are used to work in a private industry - without pay.

Rebob14,
What are you talking about? Your not making much sense. Instead of me guessing what you are implying, please clarify your position. My point is that that the hardline 2nd Amendment supporters that reject any firearms regulations contend that the problem is a mental health issue, yet have offered no solutions to address mental health. If you/they deny the thousands of deaths every year having anything to do with how many guns exist in this country and how easy it is to get a gun and contend that the problem is mental illness then offer a solution! My point is that it is very frustrating when the opposition refuses to offer a solution to what they think the problem is.

Do any 2nd Amendment supporters have any suggestions for all of the death and injuries from guns? Anything? I hear a lot of deflecting saying it's a "mental health" issue, but nothing passed by our legislators. Nothing has even been proposed.

You truly are out of touch with per student costs. There is not a single school district that only pays $3,000 per student.

Has it occurred to you progressive socialist that providing prisoners with cable TV, expensive gym equipment, and other such perks, may be the reason for the costs? Has it occurred to you progressive socialist that hiring private individuals to cook, clean and do laundry, while felons watch TV and go the gym, is not cost effective? Could you explain why convicted felons are entitled to computers and the Internet? You do, or probably not, understand there are prisoners who have more and better accoutrements, in prison, then regular citizens?

Define death and injuries? Are you talking about gangbangers k*****g each other? Are you talking about victims of drive by shootings in gangbanger neighborhoods? "deflecting", really? How is it "deflecting" when some of the individuals did, in fact, did have "mental health issues"?

You are incorrect on "nothing being proposed"!

In spring 2013, there was a bill addressing several issues. Harry Reid never let it go to committee or come to the Senate floor. One part of the bill was a requirement that ANY individual, who had been adjudicated as a threat to themselves or others, have their name entered into the NICS. Hmmm...guess who supported that? The spawn of Satan, otherwise known as the NRA!

Yes I'm talking about all deaths and injuries, including gangs and the dumb asses that accidently shoot themselves or someone else,
More guns = more deaths and injuries.
I do most certainly agree that mental illness is PART of the problem. I just haven't heard any solution to addressing that part of the problem. Which Bill are you referring to and what was proposed? I suspect any such Bill most likely had a rider attached to it that k**led its chances. If a Bill was proposed to offer any assistance to diagnosing and treating mental illness it would have a very good chance of passing. If there's any resistance it would likely be the fiscal conservatives because of funding issues. Hey I'm all for anything that can help, if that's mental health, then fine, pass a Bill. By the way it's deflecting when they only acknowledge part of the problem.

are people like you just BRAIN-DEAD? your ultimate goal is to dis arm the American public. what do you think will happen then? you dis arm the law abiding citizens and the criminals sit back drooling just waiting for their free frall . there will be NOTHING to stop them. they wont turn in their fire arms. plus there will always be some one who wants to make a big ole fist full of dollars selling guns on the underground. criminals will ALWAYS be able to buy any fire arm they want as long as they have the right price. money talks and bull s**t walks. you got the money you get the guns.

Hmmm.....you want a specific bill to deal with mental health issues. Would such issues not be covered under that wondrous, all inclusive, cover everybody for everything called the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act? I mean, really, they passed it so we could see what was in it. Did the 2700 pages miss something?

Just bought two shotguns from my father in law. Pretty easy. I'm not just talking about gun shows or gun shops.

So you're saying there is no way to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists and the mentally ill, nor uncover the means of which they get them (because somewhere along the pipeline between the manufacturers and the street, there are some very crooked people), so we just have to accept things as they are. Great.
No one's ever attempted nor even mentioned disarming the entire public, that's all just hysterics. To even try such a thing would be a bloody nightmare and would benefit no one in any way. Until this country goes full-blown f*****t, it's not going to happen.
