We could go back some years and blame it on the previous Republican Governor, Erlich. In that way, they do not have to take responsibility.

I grew up in Baltimore. I was a student, realtor, high school teacher and businessman. I'v seen it all happen. Baltimore is one of only two major cities in the US that is not part of it's surrounding county. Because of this fact the desegregation movements of the sixties and seventies were sure to turn the city into a black ghetto, which is what happened. Why? 1) Children are color blind..... Parents know this = White flight. The parents of little blond haired, blue eyed Susie panic at even the thought of her playing with the typically sex always on the mind black boy next door. Call it r****m if you want, but that's the way it is. As a Realtor I heard many times from prospective buyers; "I don't care if it is only one foot over the line as long as it is not in the city" Today Baltimore looks like a bombed out German city in WW-11.

The main reason anyone - especially those who constantly harp on race - ever even uses the words "r****m", "r****t", etc. is to attempt to end a discussion they have lost. Playing the race card just identifies the player as a hopeless loser who is either to stupid, ignorant, or corrupt to admit they are wrong.
