The power of Jesus

This block of instruction is covered in Matthew 17:24 - 27. God is supernatural and can read our thoughts. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. We will focus on the 27th verse. What has happened is an unexpected expense has come up and Jesus tells Peter to go fishing. In the mouth of the first fish Peter catches will be two coins that will cover the expense. This presents us with two possibilities; 1. Jesus just made the money appear. 2. A sailor drops a coin in the water and Jesus has the fish swallow the coins and bite the hook. In either case we are trying to define a power beyond our comprehension.

Life and faith are so much easier when we accept Him at His Word. He if faithful -

1 Samuel 2:9 He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. “It is not by strength that one prevails"

Psalm 108:4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

It's one coin, a shekel of silver to pay tribute for Himself and Peter.

Irrelevant. Either way Jesus made the money miraculously appear, whether he simply formed the coin or caused someone to drop it.

No. Of course not. Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings and my Savior. The point is everything is under His authority. He performs miracles at His will however He choose to perform them. We will never fully comprehend the mind or the ways of Almighty God. What is important is that we believe in Him, trust in Him and have faith in Him. Period.

Yo, fred, it would be good if you would not spam this forum on religion and spirituality with a long string of sermons.

If you don't like it, don't read. Some people are helped.

Believe me, I don't. I don't listen to the doctrines of man...

"But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ."

There is a bit more to it than just that, KNOW the Word. Satan and his minions know it, and he fooled Eve - so know the Word as well.

Satan tried to temp Christ by mis-quoting scripture. Just one word out place, and most will be deceived. That's why the tribulation has been shorten, if not even the elect will be deceived. For all, "take heed lest we fall".
