My kids felt the same, and went about their business. I had to find new ways to 'punish' them!! Geez! That was a lot of work!! Just trying to out think them was a full time job!!

BTW, not that it matters, but my parents beat the crap out of us, ignored us, and can't understand why we are independent of them.
Family politics.......

One thing I love about my dad is that he never punished me out of anger. When I got my butt tanned, I knew I deserved it

I can't say the same about mine.....

I think/hope the cycle has been broken!!
I paddled the backsides of my two until I figured out that they h**ed early morning work more! They did lots of that!!

I may have screwed up though. Both of them have this weird idea that they can work anybody into the ground!

A little discipline goes a long way!!

While raising ProgenyE, I found it amusing other parents would punish their children by placing them in their room for punishment. Of course, their toys were in their room. Right, big punishment there. My punishment was placing ProgenyE in his room, on the bed, looking at the toys not to be played with while 'grounded to sitting on the bed'!

Do not ask abou the time I took the second favorite toy, a hammer and destroyed it in front of the darling. 8-)

Awww! Come on! You are exaggerating here! A thousand?

Maybe one on each cheek!
I hope my adult kids see this the same way, because they are people that I'm very proud of, and happy for. Ours was called 'The Boss.'
Don't tell anybody though! I'm not sure what the statute of limitations is on child battery!

Arch
you just made my day

now I know that I was not the only kid that went home with a sore butt about twice a week
but he did get me straightened out
