Faith, my dear, I think what you are noticing is the demographic shift of the country-browner, younger, more accepting of gays, b****s, health insurance, enviromental protection, support of v****g rights, etc. Less scared of what is new, more questioning. Also perhaps, it is that more people are waking up to the nuttiness of the tea party-"Obama is a Kenyan muslim out to destroy America" makes more people think OMG we can't let this country be run by crazy people, we have to be more politically involved. And also perhaps, they see the true values of the Republincan party-tax cuts for billionaires, cut social security, safety net, education, kids lunches, SNAP, and think "I have to get involved". The v****g supression Republicans tried actually backfired, more people saw through the BS and actually made it to the polls. Tea Baggage is just not as popular as you think it is-that is why you lost the e******n, and would have lost the house except for gerrymandered districts that kept the house in the hands of the GOP although over a million more democratic v**es were cast.

If we want a better place to live it will only come if those of us on sites like this can look for the answers needed. Calling each other names only plays into the hands that pull the strings over us. Those that have the power are happy when the masses waste their time as we seem to being now calling each other names.

I am doing okay for an old man. But I know that if the man next door gets a couple of extra dollars I will be more secure than if the 1% takes more from us.

So if you think that the poor are taking your money take a look around & see where all of the money is. Where is most of your money going? If you think by kissing someones back side to get by is the way to go to be better off, just keep puckered up & things will not get any better for you.

You hit the nail on the head with that remark, we are being maneuvered against each other. We are all Americans, but we have lost sight of that because of "What's good for the Party, Not what's good for the People". This being abused on both sides but more so on the right.
