We all know Putin's intent and its not to help the USA. Romney was 100% correct in saying Russia was our #1 geopolitical foe. Obama mocked him for saying it. Looks like Mitt knew a lot more than Obama

yes Putin is the question mark, it all depends on his intent and seriousness on the subject

Anything is better than BOMBING and/or boots on the ground .It's their civil war , it's muslims k*****g muslims .
Anyone wanting anything else should gather themselves up charter a ship or plane and go over there themselves .
We already supported one despot who used chemical weapons only to have to engage him in war later on .

In the meantime we have a ready made Al Queda magnet , which will draw them in from allover ,to be k**led by Asad . A win win situation .
There are too many war mongers and neo-cons in this country willing to snatch DEFEAT from the JAWS of VICTORY .

Its a lose lose situation. Either Obama backed Al Qaida rebels win and take over Syria or a pro Russia tyrannical dictator remains in power.

uh yea dennis , lose/lose only because I say win/win . Like a contrary little 3rd grader .
Well BETTER minds than yours run the foreign policy , and you should join any group and go there yourself if you favor ANY military action .
The Fact that Obama is the president however is what drives your arguments . So don't pretend that you have any concern other than attacking your President FIRST , and all other consideration SECOND .
If you think your agenda is not t***sparent dennis then you are a bigger fool than I thought . No proposed solution is acceptable to you BECAUSE it will be OBAMA who makes the decision , and wh**ever that may be will be WRONG by your reckoning for the SAME reason . And so it goes with the rest of your ilk . You would love to blame the Syrian Civil War on Obama , but haven't the balls to come right out and say it because you would be laughed off the stage , so too you can't call him NI**GER for the same reasons , so you call him c****e , socialist , muslim , Marxist , etc . You and your ilk are t***sparent .

You mean like Reagan backed up those 265 US Marines in the Embassy in Beirut ?

Ouch, that hurt! Yes, Reagan should have backed-up the 220 Marines of 1/8 (BLT) KIA in Beruit, Lebanon, but he didn't. As a former Marine, that still chaps my butt. To answer your question, the responsibility for that debacle was Reagan's in his role as Commander-in-Chief. To his credit, he owned-up to it.

That particular stupidity was but one of many committed by various of our fearless leaders over the years. Unarmed Marines as a peacekeeping force on hostile shores? What were they thinking?

My point is that the old war dog, Senator McCain, has done his service honorably, and needs to stand down. Many, if not most, Americans are a bit weary of being the world's policemen, and it's past time for our elected officials to quit acting on their personal opinion and whim and once again pay attention to those of "We the People."
