Most Church's are CORPORATIONS as they have the 501(C)3 tax exemption. Many sell pumpkins and Christmas trees. The preachers are not allowed to tend the flocks, or followers and discuss politics. In other words, they were silenced back in 1953, thanks to Lyndon Johnson.
The Ministers now must decide whether to follow GODS word, or bow to the PTB who are wrong. IMO, anyway

Here's my problem. I do not believe the government has the right to set the standards for any religion. As long as money is not changing hands, a church is not a business. Who they agree to marry should be based solely on the teachings of their God, who to most is a much higher authority.
Why is it so important to be married by a member of the clergy, who believes you have no right to marry? A wedding should be a celebration. I would not want someone who was forced to marry me at my ceremony. Why would you even want to be married by a person who believes your entire lifestyle to be in conflict with the teachings of their God? Seems ridiculous to me.
To me forcing someone to endorse something they believe to be morally wrong is the worst form of hypocrisy. You won the right to have your marriage recognized by the government. Now, you want the right to force people, such as myself, who believe your lifestyle is wrong to open the houses of our God to you. Why? My God teaches your entire lifestyle is something to be avoided. Why would you want to be married in the house of a God that condemns you? You claim you have been discriminated against, yet you would do the same to religious communities who do not share your opinion?
The gay community needs to accept the simply fact: You can not force people to accept your lifestyle. You can win legal battles but you won't accomplish being accepted through force. If a person is serious about their religion and that religion teaches homosexual behavior is wrong, we will not be moved on this. Not by the government or social pressure.
