I rarely missed a Roy Rogers Show when originally playing on TV during the 50's.

Happy Trails to each of his fans :!:

Aaah, but "What would men be without women? Scarce, sir... mighty scarce!"

True. It seems she also knows that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. But all of us sleep better at night knowing you aren't going anywhere. Wait, I'm confused. This began with Elwood and ended with you. Forgive me. I am old and decrepit.

If you are speaking of Dale's horse, her name was 'Buttermilk', I believe.

It's sad that not enough people were interested in Roy and Dale to keep the place going. It really is the end of an era! Roy was always known as straightforward and real, not a thread of pretense. He and Dale always demonstrated the genuine character of their Christian faith...They lived it!
How refreshing in a day when "image" is everything.

Y'all probably already know this, but just in case there's one who doesn't: When trigger died Roy said he just couldn't stand the thought of putting him in the ground...that's why he had him stuffed. What a beautiful horse! My big brother had a girlfriend with a mare that looked just like trigger named Cheyenne. Even had the black and silver saddle, bridle and martindale. She'd pretend to come over to let me ride the horse as an excuse to see him. I did not mind the reuse.

Yes they were my friend. I remember when a bad word was never spoken on TV and not many movies. When Rhett Butler said that famous line to Scarlett it took the audiences breath away. Even married couples slept in separate beds with a night stand between them. When the bad guys got shot there was no blood. They just fell down. The guy in the white hat was the good guy. If you kissed a woman, you had better marry her. Families could all gather around and watch the old movies and TV programs together. The good ole days.
