Bernie Sanders is my choice. The only honest one so far. I suppose what I like most about him is the fact he states his position without consulting the polls first. I haven't been this excited about an election since 1972.

Even if Bernie doesn't win the primary, he will force the winner to address the Democrat party's voting records. Why many of them have sided with the Republicans on many issues and not stood behind their President. If nothing else Bernie will make it a more honest campaign.

I would say that part of the reason that Dems vote with Pubs may be that they hear from the more conservative constituents in their districts.
I don't really see that much crossing of lines, and their job is to govern part of that is compromise or consensus building.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference which individual inhabits the office of President as much as it matters which party holds the office.
It seems as though no matter what an individual candidate's preferences are there is only so much the President can accomplish.
I've often thought that the office inhabits the individual as opposed to the other way around.

Good question, but the choices are so limited. The GOP field so far are not at all appealing, trump just threw his hair into the ring. Hillary has pretty much inherited the mantel, since Obama beat her last time. I don't expect Biden to run. Bernie Sanders will lose a lot of votes because socialism has been made into a curse word. Chafee has little name recognition. Unless some new person jumps in, this is what we have to work with. So, at this point Hillary is it.
