It is difficult to understand, especially here in the South. The b****s continue to gravitate towards their here-to-for executioners. Can you give me any solid, verifiable stats or examples of where AA did anything to benefit the minority community?

It created another huge government bureaucracy that made Government contractors jump though hoop after hoop to create "Plans" that got the government stamp of approval, but at the end of the day, what did all of that accomplish?
A few companies frightened into hiring some underqualified minorities to meet their quotas?

I know...I was on the front line since 1975 when I had to write my first AA plan, until 2009, when I retired, and I can’t think of a single person it really helped. AA was huge fiction, which probably did more to alienate business against minorities than anything the Civil Rights movement ever did.

I went out of my way to recruit and hire from the “protected classes.” In my 2nd to last job, I hired the first female VP level staff member, the first minority VP level staff member, the first senior level minority Engineer, and the list goes on.

But that was because I saw superior candidates who—not because they happened to be in a protected class, but because they were highly qualified individuals, race and/or sex not-withstanding.

[The only reason I don’t mention my final employer, is because I was hired to assist in a plant closing. Not growth or expansion, but I could also provide documentation on scores of protected class employees who we aggressively marketed as candidates for remaining open positions at our the nearby corporate office.]

Ahh, believing the lies again are we? They say that the black unemployment rate is 11.wh**ever% but they refuse to tell you that way over 1.6+ million just gave up looking for work. Add those and you're not even close to single digits, then look at black underemployment rate at like 32%. Very sad.

do some research.....it helped white women more than anyone..which contradics the true purpose...that is women were labeled minority status individuals...read the 10 myths of affirmative action....and do not be surprised...many of us are qualified...but it is harder when the interviewer thinks you can be someone who can get their job...been there done that....the flip side of that coin..........
