very scary at the very least. Question I don't remember seeing in the article did our electronics revive by themselves after the Russian plane left or was there a significant period of time afterward? Did we have to reboot thee entire system?

Officials: China Suspected of U.S. Data Breach Affecting Millions

The Obama administration is scrambling to assess the impact of a massive data breach, suspected to have originated in China, involving the agency that handles security clearances and employee records, U.S. officials said Thursday.

U.S. officials told NBC News that, so far, the breach doesn't appear to be the "worst-case scenario" — compromise and disclosure of the identities of the covert CIA agents. But they said the breach — which exploited a "zero day" vulnerability, meaning one that was previously unknown — could be the biggest cyberattack in U.S. history, potentially affecting every agency of the U.S. government.

The USA could be in some BIG be in trouble.

All the while Obama is making the world safe for sexual deviates, our enemies surround us and plan on devouring us like a nation of field mice.

I'm not sweating anything, I bought me a front row seat to the resurrection.

Actually, my best friend bought it for me. I didn't even have to ask. What a friend right?

God bless Mamma Bear, keep fighting the 'good fight'.

40 years ago there was a story going around like this and it proved to be false but I can't remember for the life of me other than it involved P-3 Orion's and it's electronics. P-3's were sub chasers and were quite important.
Now today's story, if true it's very serious but I'm sorta like you, every likely a rumor.

The way I see it is that it's either a completely false story because is was ignored by most media outlets or it's the absolute truth because it was ignored by most media outlets.

Hard for me to compare because at the time I was in Iceland, 45 years ago no net and news was a bit slower. First 30 bit airborne computer, very top secret at the time was rumored to have major problems at the time, turned out to be false.

It's getting so you can't believe what you hear from any government (ours included), so I checked this out according to Truth or Fiction, this is what they had to say:

The Truth:
There’s no proof that Russian bomber planes zapped the USS Donald Cook’s missile defense system.
The claim was first made by a state-run Russian newspaper known for publishing propaganda, and no credible accounts of the USS Donald Cook’s alleged short circuit can be found.
It is true, however, that the USS Donald Cook encountered two Russian Su-24 bomber planes in the Black Sea on April 12, 2014. Pentagon officials confirmed the encounter and said it was a “provocative and unprofessional” move by the Russians.
One of the Su-24 bombers flew within 1,000 feet of the USS Donald Cook’s deck, and attempted communications between the ship’s crewmembers and the plane’s cockpit went unanswered, according to the Pentagon.
A very different version of the story appeared in the Russian Gazette in April 2014. The Russian Gazette is a state-run newspaper that publishes propaganda for Russian leaders and spins news in a favorable way to build public support for their agendas.
The state-run paper claimed that the Su-24 bombers disabled the USS Donald Cook’s Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System. The encounter allegedly “demoralized” the destroyer’s crew and led to 27 American sailors resigning from the Navy, according to a translated version of the article.
The eRumor’s only source is the state-run Russian newspaper, which isn’t credible. (Neither are our government sources.)
Russian leaders have long used propaganda to build support for their agendas. The Kremlin has also launched plans to increase propaganda efforts outside its borders, the Wall Street Journal reports.

It is impossible for a democracy to function if the voters are dumbed down about what the government is doing. Uninformed voters are easily manipulated by the elitist. A dictatorship by the majority commanded by one party headed by a Snake head.

An unarmed Russian bomber in April flew over a high-tech U.S. ship. A crew member pressed a button.
Poof! No more missile defense system on the ship. No more radar.
The ship became a defenseless floating coffin.

Then the plane flew over the blind ship a dozen times.
Basically, it was “Nyah, nyah, nyah.”

This story got no play in American media.

Interesting article, you can read it here:

If you want to believe that this is a true story via, Lew Rockeell, then I have some snow from the Sahara I'd like to sell you; because you gals and guys are as gullible as they come.

Also, allow me to ask you the following questions:
1- what is the source of this report? A Russian state-owned news agency.

2- what was the intent of the Russian plane? To force the destroyer to "light-up" the plane in order to determine the characteristics of the ship's AD System.

3- had the destroyer "lit-up" the Russian plane, what would the Russians have learned? See above.

4- had the destroyer "lit-up" the Russian plane, what could the Russians then expect? That the ship was about to fire on the plane.

5- what would the Russians have gained by that? They would've cried that the U.S. was attempting to shoot down a Russian plane.

6- what would that accomplish? It would allow them to beef-up their military in the region and tensions would be further heightened. Also, they could've used that as an excuse to begin a shooting-war and it would've been our fault.

7- what really happened to the ship? Nothing. It simply turned-off it's radar systems so the Russians wouldn't learn anything new about our military capabilities.

8- so what's the point of all this? To let those who are ignorant of military matters and are negative toward Obama to mouth-off and distribute even more lies and half-truths about things they obviously know little to nothing about.

It also says that, in order to prevent an international incident and not to allow the ship to be drawn into a shooting scenario with the Russians, the captain followed procedures and didn't take the bait the Russians tossed at him.

Finally, go to the website, http://www.lewrockwell.com/2014/11/gary-north/russian-plane-disabled-us-warships-missile-defense-system/ .

Look in the top left-hand corner. You'll see,

"LewRockwell.com anti-state•anti-war•pro-market."

Note the terms, "anti-state" and "anti-war." Now, tell me if you honestly think that this is a site that will be pro-military in its publications and comment as such. Also, the author of the article is a Tea Partier and very anti-Obama. Again, another reason to NOT expect to get a fair and balanced story.

But, hey! It's the story anti-Obamamites dream about and get so excited that they pee all over themselves, when someone prints one. Never mind that it's totally made-up and based on a Russian state-owned news outlet story; aka, RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA!
