I was contrasting the beliefs taught by Christian Scripture and that of Zen Buddism.

Looking inward requires no hope. It's a purely subjective enterprise requiring nothing more than self-absorption.

The Holy Spirit is our guide, comforter, and teacher. Once indwelling, one need not search for Him.

He'll find you.

The only thing we can do about the past is to learn from it, - and use that knowledge to assist those whom God inevitably places in our path; those who are now suffering in the same circumstances from which God delivered us...

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
2nd Corinthians 1:3-4

Whatever the "kingdom" may be, on whose behave, you're acting; Failure to learn from the past is still a prime clue portending insanity. ;)

The only thing we can do about the past is to learn from it, - and to thank God we survived it.

This above advice is enmity with God. The worldly past has nothing at all to do with the Eternal or truth. We are citizens of heaven: of what good are past experiences on earth? Learning from the past is exactly against scripture advising us "not to lean on our own understanding." The Holy Spirit alone instructs us how to act in God's will.

I accept your Right wing paranoia inhibits your ability to open to my words. What happened to "all of the love, love, love": it was given in stern rebuke for your prejudiced and closed heart and mind. All my arguments and discussions are taken straight from scripture. If you find this not to be true, then speak plainly, not cast scripture verses like stones to somehow indict me. Show me I am wrong--and I will concede.

First of all noting was mentioned about left or right. That in itself is a hint of who I think you are.

Secondly, I will quote your statements and if you can give me the translation where these verses are written as you quoted them are found, I will apologize for making you think I am a self-righteous, right wing, paranoid, prejudiced, closed minded and hard hearted.

Truth is found only in the moment. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is NOW!

This is utterly crucial to living in Christ: we learn nothing from the past; that is clever worldliness weaving a net to ensnare reliance on our own understanding, will, and effort.

Even though you may not think so, I do love you through Christ, there are some in this world that only through the love that is spread abroad by the Holy Spirit in my heart that I can love.

IF I may, I would point out a phrase that you use now to deflect to make sure you are safe. You use the term "The Worldly past." Of course we know we Christians are forgiven from our "worldly past."

Although we can learn by remembering the results of past failures. Both worldly and Godly. One of the themes of the whole Bible is God telling His followers to remember what He had and has done. That is a faith builder. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If that doesn't include the past and future please explain how it only applies to the ever present now???

Very kind, however, the trinity is not mentioned nor the phrase "second coming": are these then unbiblical? If inference matters in these two ideas without them being clearly spoken, why not 'Truth is found only in the moment'?

The objection to this is extremely perplexing. What else is real but the now, the present moment? Truth is a triumvirate. Yes, it is common to think and believe what the Bible says is truth, but that is one-third of truth. The other two-thirds are right heart and right action: without these truth is just another worldly tool for vanity and appetite. The South used the word to suppress Blacks and oppose inter-racial marriage. Was that the Truth?

Once again, your very words cause me to no longer wish to converse with you. You cannot see your own pridefulness. The best way for you and I to stop digging deeper trenches is to part on the basis of free will.

You believe your way, I will believe mine. This is like beating your own head against a concrete wall and saying boy I'll be glad when this is over.

Fair winds and may the sun always shine on you and the wind fills your sails to carry you to your destiny.

This is your problem: you never get specific. Why is that? You will hurl scripture verses at me with no explanation or comment. You will accuse me of pridefulness and offer zero proof. You state "Your very words cause me to no longer wish to converse with you" and offer no cogent argument why you feel this way. If you object to my words and person, give some evidence. Being the ever-so-gracious Christian in saying "Fair winds and may the sun always shine on you and the wind fills your sails to carry you to your destiny," is pure pomposity.

P.S. If I am who you suspect, how does that change your response and why is that in any way important? Having no proof but your suspicion, you would choose to gossip in an open forum about a person that may lead to problems. What do you gain? To say that you were not fooled? But what is the gain if you are wrong? You have possibly denigrated the good name of a person and have been a seed of divisiveness. THINK! fer cryin out loud.

As I suspected: no response. Sorry, but dealing with people like you and those on the Right is exhausting. Ask for anything concrete or a source or an explanation grounded in viable parameters--and you never hear from them again. Smoke and mirrors of their ideology does not allow it. Gossip, innuendo, and hate are their earthly trinity but FEAR is their godhead. Just stirring up in division. Facts get in the way. Repeat the lie often enough and get paid.
