thank you, no propaganda. You are quite right. I shall
not post any photographs of my family. People (some)
are really rotten, at their core, nefarious, as you
said. I've had to have a lot of therapy, to begin to deal
with the trauma, the abuse, the hatred, the self-
loathing. I really don't know if this early abuse contributed to my preference for women.

The perps are monsters. Murderers in a way. My
brother (brilliant IQ) has never understood what he
has done. I mean, in any real understanding. I think
that I mentioned the article from a book about
traumatized children: so true for one of your boys who
as a man, still has a "hole" -
"The Broken Heart of the Traumatized Child".

There were times when I could NOT go to therapy,
because the so-called "healing" was actually being
re-traumatized. Way down in what I began to call
"The sub-basement". There were days when I had to
call my therapist (who was fantastic for me, and
dedicated to me - we'd made a sort of Bodhhdisatva
"oath" to one another. She would never give up on me,
and I would never give up on her). Now, I can only see
her once a week, $35.00. Those 50 minutes are not
enough. I was seeing her 2 times a week for 1 1/2 hours or 2 hours, when my mother was alive, and
provided me with extra money - it had to be cash, so
that Disability didn't know about it. She had said, "why
wait until I die"? But, when she died (Alzheimer's),
she chose my brother to do everything, because she
preferred him, and he went to all her attorneys, and
she never remembered what had been done.

She did tell him that I needed to be taken care of,
knowing that I could not "work" again. It did not
happen.

So - yes, I was further traumatized by a pimp. And for
years after I'd walked away from him, I would wake
in the night, after 2:00 a.m., and hear footsteps, then
feel a hand on my back. I would pretend to sleep on,
and then, carefully, open one eye, and realize he
was not actually there. He was a drummer in Oakland,
so 2:00 a.m. was when he would finish.

What women who use hard narcotics do to get their
dope - prostituion. I was asked to go to a gathering
of P.A., at a friend's home. I could not. I just could
not yet talk about it. She is now dead. Kidney failure,
after cancer. She wrote a book which I finally read,
after I had many years clean. Her name is
Susan Laydon (I may have that last name wrong). The
book is titled: My Way Home. Worth reading. I got a
copy from my library. Maybe Lydon. No. But it sounds
like that. She lived very near me in Manhattan, but I
didn't know her then. She had an apartment above
the bodega where occasionally, as a treat, I would buy
some strong Spanish coffee. Bustello?

I have done fairly well. I still need more therapy. My
brother puts $250.00 into my daughter-in-law's
account on the 1st of every month. This is for me to
use - plane ticket to and from Costa Rica in September
for my daughter's wedding. They( my son and daughter-in-law) only had enough
frequent flyer miles for their 2 tickets. Grandson does
not need a ticket. He will not be 2 years old when we
fly. So my own ticket is about $800.00 round trip.
And, in theory, there ought to be enough for me to
buy a dress, and have extra money to spend while I
am there. That's a fuck of a lot of money.

I am saving what little is left over, after utilities, food,
cat food, litter, etc. A close friend from my commune days sent me a $100.00 gift card for Safeway. I was
so grateful and didn't even realize that I was
crying.

I don't know if that abuse played any part. It may have. I've seen that in other women. But I've also
seen women who have been with men, get into the
lesbian community in a big way, and, my closest friend
from way back when I went to N.A., was married 3
years ago to her longtime live-in partner. She did,
however, have women in her past. She adopted a
daughter at birth in Chicago. That daughter is
Black, and she is a lesbian. Definitely a "butch". I am
starting to h**e lables.

I do identify as a "femme"; P.C. it is now called
"fem".

I think I will delete all photographs. There are so many
people on this forum who are such "h**ers", who seem
to just be "reactive" rather than "thinkers". Nora

You are very brave and the story o your pain needs to be out there for all those who think child abuse is something to laugh
about. That is one of the reasons we post here, just by describing a little of what some of the boys we have worked with have gone through we hope that people will take it more seriously. there have been a number of PMs from men who have talked about what abuse to them or a relative has done to their lives. Maybe if we keep it out in front people will stop laughing it off.

have "worked" with t******s, and understand the
pain they endure because of pre-judgment.

You know that there is a full spectrum of sexuality, and that there is scientific evidence of brain scans of
(alive) people that show the differences between a
"hetero" and a person who is "t***s". And there is
scientific proof of what (I hope you are not among this
group) a biased, right wing group would call "normal"
brains (meaning straight - heterosexual) and those of
people born gay or lesbian. More testorerone in some
women; less in some men, etc. Sorry about my poor

And, yes, child abuse needs to be addressed here in the open on OPP.

I've been ridiculed by saying publicly that I have PTSD.
OPP members have thought that it's about wanting
pity.

The trauma of an abused child and/or adult never totally goes away.

Little girls and little boys who are abused by a family
member, trusted relative, a stranger, a pastor, are
reluctant to talk about it. If a little girl were to tell her
mother that her father or step-father was touching her, often the mother would slap her, and tell her that
she is lying, and that her dad or step-father would
NEVER do anything like that.

But he did.

I never told my mother, but she had a general idea of
what was going on. Not the specifics. I did confront her
when I was around 23 years old. I won't discuss those
answers, which, believe me, were not helpful.

My mother was a blank. Just a blank.

I learned to be compassionate toward her, and forgave her cruelties way before she developed Alzheimer's. It's too bad that she never did. For anyone.

That's it for me.

Keeping secrets is hurtful. It needs to stop. We must
not harm our children, or permit it to happen. I would
never, never have let happen to one of my kids, that
which happened to me.

I think you would find this article interesting. there are several others I am trying to locate on the subject and some of the new research but at least read this one.

You are correct that some men have a higher level of testosterone than others, as do some women. that doesn't make them not entirely male or not entirely female however. More aggressive men usually have more testosterone which was necessary when the man needed to protect the t
family from wolves, and that same amount of testosterone makes for an excellent risk taker who is willing to take a job as a policeman, or a test pilot or perhaps the pushy car salesman we usually detest. Women need more that average testosterone if they have any chance of succeeding in the aggressive business world. Men with less testosterone make excellent accountants store managers or computer programers, where aggression is a detriment. That does not change the fact that they are male or female, it is not a g****r issue. In dogs the breeders usually chose masculine male and feminine females but many of the best mothers are what would be called doggy b***hes. They are fully male or female not both sexes of confused, no matter what the activists want to tell you. the sloppy use of g****r for this purpose is confusing. When I was in school trying to learn German (notice I said trying,not succeeding) inanimate objects had g****rs such as tables and chairs, which seemed absurd. however ships abd cars are "she" for some strange reason. Those were referred to as g****r but the DNA and g*****ls of people indicated what sex they were, and except for a few with XY and patterns, it was what God made you to be, not what was assigned to you.

T*********rism—there is no such thing, scientifically speaking

I keep seeing articles about people who change g****rs having mental disorders and here’s another one in the long list.

Dr. Joseph Berger, a consulting psychiatrist in Toronto and whose list of credentials establishes him as an expert in the field of mental illness, in an article in Lifesitenews.com, says scientifically there is no such thing as t*********r. He says that people who identify themselves as "t*********red" are mentally ill or simply unhappy, and pointed out that hormone therapy and surgery are not appropriate treatments for psychosis or unhappiness. http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/psychiatry-expert-scientifically-there-is-no-such-thing-as-t*********r

Dr. Burger is not alone in identifying that mental illness exists in individuals who request a g****r change.

A study from the Department of Psychiatry, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio in 2009 reported that 90% of the last 10 patients seen at the G****r Identity Clinic had at least one other significant form of psychopathology—“problems of mood and anxiety regulation and adaption in the world.” (1)

You can see for yourself by reading the abstract that the researchers have concerns about the differences between their results and the rhetoric of many who care for t*********red adults. Concerned because the g****r specialists tout the t*********rs who are apparently functioning well in t***sition and do not care for the majority of t*********rs, the 90% who suffer serious mental issues that could be contributing to regret and premature deaths. The abstract says, “Emphasis on civil rights is not a substitute for the recognition and treatment of associated psychopathology.”

It makes me wonder if the cause of 30% of t*********rs committing suicide is their untreated mental illness.

Suicide.org states that 90% of all suicides are the direct result of untreated mental illness. Is there any other surgical treatment that is promoted as being successful when 30% of the patients commit suicide? More studies from Sweden and Denmark provide irrefutable evidence that t*********rs overwhelmingly suffer from untreated mental disorders.

A long-term follow-up of t***ssexual persons undergoing sex reassignment surgery in Sweden concluded: “Persons with t***ssexualism, after sex reassignment, have considerably higher risks for mortality, suicidal behavior.” (2)

A survey among Dutch psychiatrists about psychiatric comorbidity of g****r identity disorders states, “In 270 (75%) of these 359 patients, cross-g****r identification was interpreted as an epiphenomenon of other psychiatric illnesses, notably personality, mood, dissociative, and psychotic disorders. Major mood disorders, dissociative disorders and psychotic disorders were reported in 79% of t*********rs.” (3)

This should be alarming.

Another study, this one from 2013, titled “Anxiety and depression in t*********r individuals: the roles of t***sition status, loss, social support, and coping” investigated 351 t*********r individuals and found that the rates of depressive symptoms within the current study far surpass the rates of those for the general population. Their conclusion is that practitioners should focus on t*********rs’ coping sk**ls (adaption in the world) in order to improve their mental health. (4)

A research physician said to me, “Any physician worthy of his degree must treat ONLY with the Hippocratic Oath. First do no harm. In this regard, we have willfully failed.

-- There is no female brain in the wrong male body
-- Current studies do not support the t***ssexual condition
-- Nor do the current studies support the Harry Benjamin Syndrome.

Please don't mention my name. You would be surprised at the hostility of t***ssexual persons against physicians. I really do think that lots of physicians are very intimidated by them. The patients use the physicians and the physicians use the patients. It is deplorable. We have failed those with g****r identity problems miserably."

But if the professionals remain unwilling to "come out" about the existence of mental disorders, nothing will change in diagnosis or treatment of t*********rs. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. They've got the insanity going on.

I’m not a doctor or a psychologist, but if I can see the evidence that mental illness is behind g****r stress, shouldn't the medical professionals see it? G****r surgery is not the preferred treatment for depression and anxiety or other t*********r mental disorders.

Insanity is to focus on XY and XX patterns, hormone treatments and surgery or born in the wrong body, while ignoring the strong evidence that mental illness exists in a majority of patients, and failing to treat it first.

T*********r kids-perhaps it’s all Mom’s idea?

Could the massive explosion in the number of t*********r kids be a result of mom’s desire to change their kid’s g****r? With no definitive test to determine if someone is or is not t*********r, nothing stands in the way of a mom encouraging her son to become a “girl” t*********r.

The Dateline NBC story Living a T*********r Childhood about Josie Romero, a nine year old, has haunted me ever since it aired in July 2012. I was dressed as a “girl” by my grandma at the very same age as Joseph was dressed by his mom. I ended up undergoing hormone therapy, g****r reassignment surgery, name change and birth record change, male to female and my life has been torn to shreds ever since.

The entire story is told in 4 parts with a total of 23 minutes. I’m going to take you through some highlights from the segment and share my reactions. The link to the video is below.

The mom in the Dateline story is committed to guiding her boy, shown at age 9, toward female hormone treatment. She started her son down the t*********r road at the age of 6 and changed the boy’s name from Joseph to a female name, Josie.

Dr. Margaret Moon, pediatrician and bio-ethicist from Johns Hopkins medical school, makes clear her concerns about administering hormones to young people. Too bad the mom hadn’t sought her advice for Joseph/Josie.


Dr. Moon says regarding administering cross-g****r hormones that doctors should wait until the patient is much older. When female hormones are used on a boy, she says, “The changes are irreversible and hard to justify.” “Well-intentioned people are looking at the same data and coming away with very different ideas.” “There is the potential of over-diagnosis of t*********r kids.”

Mom says, “I would rather have a living t*********r than a dead son.” Apparently mom is unaware research shows t*********rs commit suicide even after hormones, surgery and t***sitioning. In fact, if your son or daughter uses suicide as a threat to gain approval for a g****r change, that should be grounds for NOT providing any cross g****r treatment until their deeper issues are discovered and addressed.



Mom took Josie to Dr. Jo Olson, a Los Angeles M.D. who regularly treats t*********rs. Olson says they are not mentally ill, but “there is an alignment issue between their internal g****r and their body.” I want you to remember Dr. Olson’s comment about the alignment issue. To her credit, Dr. Olson would not provide the hormone treatment mom wanted Josie to have.



Dr. Moon again says, “Studies that do exist suggest kids with g****r identity problems often grow out of them.” Dr. Moon has concerns about the early diagnosis and early treatment of childhood g****r issues. She says, “A lot of those kids who say ‘I’m in the wrong body’ end up by the time they are adolescents actually finding out they are fairly comfortable with their own g****r.”



Remember Dr. Olson talked about an alignment problem. Josie says to her mother, “Maybe I’m a boy inside and a girl outside,” and mom’s casual response is, “Really?” Josie is demonstrating the alignment problem but could mom be causing it? Mom has decided to change Joseph into Josie. By putting Joseph in a dress, brushing his long hair, not acknowledging that Joseph is a boy and instead reinforcing Josie as a girl, Mom has engaged in causing an alignment problem for Joseph with his birth g****r. She is manufacturing a t*********r.

As the story progresses, Joseph (living as Josie) starts to show signs of rejecting the persona Josie through expressions of indecision, confusion and concern. Josie/ Joseph desperately seeks mom’s approval to just be a boy.



This confused child asks mom, “Is it true that I’m a boy inside and a girl outside?” I find it disturbing to watch Joseph fighting for his male g****r identity. I clearly can see the internal struggle as Joseph is troubled by looking like a girl outside when there is 10 year old boy inside. Keep in mind mom has refused to acknowledge Joseph is really a boy for more than 5 years. The withholding of the t***h about a child’s g****r is psychologically abusive and should be punished as child abuse.



For me, the most striking scene in this Dateline story happens here. As mom is combing and braiding this young boy’s long hair, she asks the child, “If you wanted to grow up to be a man, would you tell me”? The kid in a quiet voice haltingly says, yea. Then mom kneels beside the child and says, “If you want to be a man you could.”

The comments from mom are causing the kid’s face to contort. Then the kid drops the bombshell, “Sometimes I think I’m a boy sort of” and now begins a tug-of-war with mom to acknowledge he is really a boy.

The kid appears fearful of mom’s response; the fear is evident to me.

The child’s words to his mom that brought me to tears were: “Would you love me as a boy?”

Mom says, “Of course I would love you no matter what. I always have and always will.”

Joseph moves quickly across the room away from his mom. Mom can see the fear in Joseph/Josie--that same fear that was evident to me. You have to see this part for yourself. The discussion between child and mom is heart-wrenching. A child is asking his mother for guidance and she throws the responsibility back on him to decide which g****r he is. There is a moment when she could have affirmed his birth g****r but does not.

She says; “I think you’re afraid to tell me what you want.” Then in what sounds like very manipulative sarcasm, mom elevates her voice saying, “What if I were to tell you ‘O, please don’t be a girl’?” Joseph then says; “Then I guess I would be a boy; I don’t know” in a frightened voice. Mom says, “No, honey, I have to listen to you.” She does not tell Joseph he is a boy. She looks scared.

Then Joseph says, “I need to listen to you; you’re my mom. Yeah. What if you said I need to be a boy and you made me. I’d have to.” Mom says, “No, No.”

The stress so thick you can cut it. The child says to mom, “You look like you’re about to cry.” Joseph has asserted his male g****r into the exchange and mom is not happy with Joseph evolving as a boy. Mom can see Joseph the boy now and she is scared.



Once again we are given commentary from the doctors. Dr. Moon, pediatrician and bio-ethicist from Johns Hopkins medical school, says, “At Joseph’s age they are not sure who they are.” Dr. Olson, who provides treatment for childhood g****r disorders, says, “There is no exact science that can determine who is truly t*********r. Missing from the data is who is for sure going to become a t*********r.”

So true.

I know the responses will be all over the place on this but it is important to raise concerns when the studies show most adolescents will grow out of their g****r issues. It is criminal to be manufacturing t*********r kids just because it is fashionable. As to the case of Josie/ Joseph--only time will tell us the results.

this other article is about a mom who apparently didn't want her son to be a boy. The discussion in this part is while watching a video and looking at recorded data so it is hard to follow but you should get the idea. both of these are food for thought, don't you think?

T*********r kids-perhaps it’s all Mom’s idea?

Could the massive explosion in the number of t*********r kids be a result of mom’s desire to change their kid’s g****r? With no definitive test to determine if someone is or is not t*********r, nothing stands in the way of a mom encouraging her son to become a “girl” t*********r.

The Dateline NBC story Living a T*********r Childhood about Josie Romero, a nine year old, has haunted me ever since it aired in July 2012. I was dressed as a “girl” by my grandma at the very same age as Joseph was dressed by his mom. I ended up undergoing hormone therapy, g****r reassignment surgery, name change and birth record change, male to female and my life has been torn to shreds ever since.

The entire story is told in 4 parts with a total of 23 minutes. I’m going to take you through some highlights from the segment and share my reactions. The link to the video is below.

The mom in the Dateline story is committed to guiding her boy, shown at age 9, toward female hormone treatment. She started her son down the t*********r road at the age of 6 and changed the boy’s name from Joseph to a female name, Josie.

Dr. Margaret Moon, pediatrician and bio-ethicist from Johns Hopkins medical school, makes clear her concerns about administering hormones to young people. Too bad the mom hadn’t sought her advice for Joseph/Josie.


Dr. Moon says regarding administering cross-g****r hormones that doctors should wait until the patient is much older. When female hormones are used on a boy, she says, “The changes are irreversible and hard to justify.” “Well-intentioned people are looking at the same data and coming away with very different ideas.” “There is the potential of over-diagnosis of t*********r kids.”

Mom says, “I would rather have a living t*********r than a dead son.” Apparently mom is unaware research shows t*********rs commit suicide even after hormones, surgery and t***sitioning. In fact, if your son or daughter uses suicide as a threat to gain approval for a g****r change, that should be grounds for NOT providing any cross g****r treatment until their deeper issues are discovered and addressed.



Mom took Josie to Dr. Jo Olson, a Los Angeles M.D. who regularly treats t*********rs. Olson says they are not mentally ill, but “there is an alignment issue between their internal g****r and their body.” I want you to remember Dr. Olson’s comment about the alignment issue. To her credit, Dr. Olson would not provide the hormone treatment mom wanted Josie to have.



Dr. Moon again says, “Studies that do exist suggest kids with g****r identity problems often grow out of them.” Dr. Moon has concerns about the early diagnosis and early treatment of childhood g****r issues. She says, “A lot of those kids who say ‘I’m in the wrong body’ end up by the time they are adolescents actually finding out they are fairly comfortable with their own g****r.”



Remember Dr. Olson talked about an alignment problem. Josie says to her mother, “Maybe I’m a boy inside and a girl outside,” and mom’s casual response is, “Really?” Josie is demonstrating the alignment problem but could mom be causing it? Mom has decided to change Joseph into Josie. By putting Joseph in a dress, brushing his long hair, not acknowledging that Joseph is a boy and instead reinforcing Josie as a girl, Mom has engaged in causing an alignment problem for Joseph with his birth g****r. She is manufacturing a t*********r.

As the story progresses, Joseph (living as Josie) starts to show signs of rejecting the persona Josie through expressions of indecision, confusion and concern. Josie/ Joseph desperately seeks mom’s approval to just be a boy.



This confused child asks mom, “Is it true that I’m a boy inside and a girl outside?” I find it disturbing to watch Joseph fighting for his male g****r identity. I clearly can see the internal struggle as Joseph is troubled by looking like a girl outside when there is 10 year old boy inside. Keep in mind mom has refused to acknowledge Joseph is really a boy for more than 5 years. The withholding of the t***h about a child’s g****r is psychologically abusive and should be punished as child abuse.



For me, the most striking scene in this Dateline story happens here. As mom is combing and braiding this young boy’s long hair, she asks the child, “If you wanted to grow up to be a man, would you tell me”? The kid in a quiet voice haltingly says, yea. Then mom kneels beside the child and says, “If you want to be a man you could.”

The comments from mom are causing the kid’s face to contort. Then the kid drops the bombshell, “Sometimes I think I’m a boy sort of” and now begins a tug-of-war with mom to acknowledge he is really a boy.

The kid appears fearful of mom’s response; the fear is evident to me.

The child’s words to his mom that brought me to tears were: “Would you love me as a boy?”

Mom says, “Of course I would love you no matter what. I always have and always will.”

Joseph moves quickly across the room away from his mom. Mom can see the fear in Joseph/Josie--that same fear that was evident to me. You have to see this part for yourself. The discussion between child and mom is heart-wrenching. A child is asking his mother for guidance and she throws the responsibility back on him to decide which g****r he is. There is a moment when she could have affirmed his birth g****r but does not.

She says; “I think you’re afraid to tell me what you want.” Then in what sounds like very manipulative sarcasm, mom elevates her voice saying, “What if I were to tell you ‘O, please don’t be a girl’?” Joseph then says; “Then I guess I would be a boy; I don’t know” in a frightened voice. Mom says, “No, honey, I have to listen to you.” She does not tell Joseph he is a boy. She looks scared.

Then Joseph says, “I need to listen to you; you’re my mom. Yeah. What if you said I need to be a boy and you made me. I’d have to.” Mom says, “No, No.”

The stress so thick you can cut it. The child says to mom, “You look like you’re about to cry.” Joseph has asserted his male g****r into the exchange and mom is not happy with Joseph evolving as a boy. Mom can see Joseph the boy now and she is scared.



Once again we are given commentary from the doctors. Dr. Moon, pediatrician and bio-ethicist from Johns Hopkins medical school, says, “At Joseph’s age they are not sure who they are.” Dr. Olson, who provides treatment for childhood g****r disorders, says, “There is no exact science that can determine who is truly t*********r. Missing from the data is who is for sure going to become a t*********r.”

So true.

I know the responses will be all over the place on this but it is important to raise concerns when the studies show most adolescents will grow out of their g****r issues. It is criminal to be manufacturing t*********r kids just because it is fashionable. As to the case of Josie/ Joseph--only time will tell us the results.

Yes, there is a very small percentage of the population that is born with indeterminant g*****lia, referred to the the first article. since they are intersexual, at birth or when ever possible after that, they ave an operation to construct g*****ls in such a way so they they can properly urinate. Later on they may have surgery to make something that looks male or female, depending of the mosaic pattern they present. They are psudo hermaphrodites in that they are not fertile in either sex, as against an earthworm which can reproduce either way, and can actually breed itself, a smart move in a species that has a small chance of finding another of that species due to limitations in locomotion. Obviously men like Jenner who fathered 6 children before changing into a "woman" are not in that category, nor are almost all others who have had s*x c****e surgery. DNA analysis is not part of the exam before sex reassignment surgery.

this is all well & good info but the kid's need to be well educated.An not dumb founded with other BS.Hell most kid's now day's can't even make change with out a machine to tell them if something is $ .60 and some one gives them $1.00 even then they either sometimes count it out over or count it out short or ask them about history events they have no clue. College is the best place to teach this or any other education that needs to be addressed and not regular schooling. hell even vocational or Tech. schools to learn a trade is better than this mixing up the kid's head.
