I used to write manuals too -- computer user manuals; originally hired for that job because I was NOT entrenched in computer jargon and so it was thought I could 'relate' to the users

I quickly became steeped in computer jargon myself and only lasted a year; but I produced a couple of decent manuals

I went back to working with aircraft on a military airfield

So - yes - JC did travel...

I did not address anything besides His biblically documented flight to Egypt as a very young child

but there are many who say that between 12 and 30 He went to India and all over the place -- I can neither confirm nor deny any of that

I admire Mel Gibson as a producer/director in PASSION OF THE CHRIST -- everyone spoke accurately (I hope) in Hebrew, Aramaic - or Latin -- English was only in sub-titles.

Poetic license was taken in the film concerning the character of SATAN (how literal/non-literal is Satan?) but all in all -- it was a movie very accurate to Bible. It's simply too gruesome to watch again, even though I bought the DVD
It's great Char br br I used to write manuals too... (show quote)

I have an aversion sometimes to certain material Mel Gibs in My Humble Opinion is highly Anti-Semitic so I did not see his movie.
I have an aversion to some material for example: WWII movies I can’t stomach. And Schindler's List as easy as that one is was to view in comparison to many it was 5 years old before I can stand to see it.
I do see the entire collection of bible movies, the old, & new; time and time again and I am sure I will see them again.

This may turn out to be an interesting Thread.
I am not sure I will be of much help in the area of New Testament.
But I may help in showing how the various books in the bible old and new Show up.
I was not a religion major ;)

When my head is back on :)
I would like to take some of the misinformation about Talmud that is floating around for the intent to misinform - Antiemetic groups.
And give the corrected version t open people’s eyes.

That is not the first I have heard of Mel Gibson being anti-Semitic; but I do not know details.

I have NOT seen the "remake of ten commandments" or whatever you call it -- the new Moses movie.

I take care of my elderly father and no longer work outside the home -- my hair and beard have grown scarcely-touched for a long long time and I truly "look like something out of the Old Testament" and could probably play Moses myself -- if I knew how to act

Well you are the expert. I still do not agree with you, but so be it. This is now your topic and I will leave you to run it.

ME THE EXPERT? Far from it.....NO NO NO it was your IDEA.
Even the post that is NOW first post on the thread is in reply to your ORIGINAL post.
This thread would have never been started by me.
Wherever you don’t agree put it out there I AM interested in learning....Please don’t play Bait and switch , not fair.
It is not my topic at all.
It is just a something I enjoy. I am a ROOKIE, and I can drop it all now. I have no investment in being right, only in sharing what I know or as I know it.

Acting is great fun, take it up as a hobby I have. :)
Taking care of your dad is a virtue. Bless your heart.

Actually I did the initial post, and it was based on my training as the daughter of a Rabbi who was a translator of the scriptures. It was only after your complaints of the post being too long and I inserted quotes that were negative, that I decided to allow you to control and run the post and thread. Therefore, you now have a shinning opportunity to show yourself as the authoritative figure.

This is my last post on this, I hope that you succeed and I hope that the information you present is given considerable thought and you verify the information before you post. You see, everyone who reads what you write may judge the entire Jewish faith on you. Your words will be the envoy. And if you provide false information, then others may assume that no Jewish person knows their own references, holy books and their purpose.

Let me leave you with a wish for success in not just this effort, but all you undertake.

SORRY I LIKE TEAM WORK. I HAV NO EGO in writing this material,
Only interest in learning.
I did not complaint you yourself said you thought there were some mistakes.
The Negative in my opinion needs to also show the corrected version.
THAT was a suggestion not a complaint. – you took it personally and that was not my intention it was PM not an open post.
And I even sent you my version after you said I should write, for your correction. I WANTED THE PUBLIC TO SEE IT THE RIGHT WAY.
I was hoping we can make a very interesting thread.
I was hoping we can make your post the best.
but I see now what it is….. so if you like you can close the thread
