It is called 'Cinco de Mrs.B.!'
We will celebrate the date of her birth by going shoe shopping :hunf: and then taking her out to her favorite steak joint for her favorite cut of undercooked cow muscle. You all are invited! I may need help with the shoe shopping.....

You are on your own with the 'shoe thingy', but Happy Birthday to Mrs. B.

Not to put a damper on the festivities, but mañana is a big holiday here in Mexifornia, even bigger than Quatro de Julio in some cities.

Happy birthday to Mrs B.

When I used to take my wife shopping we had an agreement. I would wait patiently at the front of the store while she shopped as much as she liked and in return she never asked my opinion on how anything looked. Saved me no end of grief, my opinions usually ran to "that looks goofy". My German Irish wife would thereupon serve me up the Irishwoman's dinner specialty --- Hot Tongue and Cold Shoulder!

I favor veinte uno de Abril. of course, Dos de Febrero also has much to recommend it. In case you're wondering, the first is the date of the Battle of San Jacinto, and the second is the date of Mexico's surrender in 1848.

Believe me, it couldn't have been any worse than a ticked off Greek wife.

While Mexico may have surrendered on the battlefield they haven't quit overtaking the country, without the cannons of course. They are utilizing more ingenious ways, such as swimming across and/or walking over the border and multiplying like rabbits.

Happy birthday Mrs B.

Tell you what, you and I can go to Home Depot and Mrs B and SWMBO can go shoe shopping, then we can meet at a good steakhouse when they are done looking at shoes and purses,. We might have time to go to a gun store in your area so I can get SWMBO her next birthday present, since her birthday is June 22. She wants a holster for her new revolver, one that can be well hidden until needed. Yes we both have CC permits.

Well, since the Pepsi guy can't see out of his passenger side mirror, I had a few minutes to look this over.

Sounds like an excellent Idea to me Npp!!
Let's skip Home Depot, that implies work!! We have a Gander Mountain here with lots of guns, and other cool stuff. Let's go there!!

No. No Bass Pro either.
I know! I know! You are wondering how any self respecting knuckle d**gger can live in such a podunk place without a utopian paradise like that nearby!

Bass Pro has too much fishing gear that I don't need.
