I was just watching the news. How interesting, an officer who was privy to the Freddie Gray case stated that Freddie Gray tested positive for HEROIN and POT, cops saw him DEALING DRUGS! This has not been made public by the mayor or those investigating the officers. I just did a search, and only Fox News came up and I doubt that any Liberal on OPP will accept them as valid information. However, it does raise the question. Was he dealing and if the officers saw him, as this officer indicated, did he swallow the drugs to avoid another arrest narcotic arrest? And if he did indeed swallow the drugs, could that be another reason he was unresponsive upon arrival at the station? Why has his autopsy report not been released to the public? All other reports of the past 6 shooting were released almost immediately.

What were they doing failing to put a seat belt on someone who's mental stability was not assessed and why wasn't he brought to a medic first for his supposed condition.?

This, IMO, would make the cope even MORE culpable.

Besides, Yeah, I don't think anyone yet has claimed Mr Gray is an angel.

You don't have to be an angel to maintain your civil rigjts and due processes. So your desire to demonize him will not justify hos murder.

I'm all for asking question to get at all the angles, but this just pathetic to bend over backwatds toexcuse these cops.

He was arrested for carrying a switchblade knife, not with on a drug charge.
The autopsy report is out. How do you think they have the homicide determination?
It doesn't matter if he had heroin in his system, those six officers were involved in k*****g him.
Here's hoping they will pay.
Nice try, though.

A cop I know told me:
" It takes a thug to catch a thug".
Unfortunately, there's a bunch of ' thug' cops out there in our society...

Not sure of all the details, been sick and did not follow all the pieces...but a man does not end up with a busted spin on the floor of a cell ... he ends up in a hospital if unresponsive for a few hours, not day/s. I am sure the cops here look guilty as sin. And why is President Obama only coming out when a black kid gets hurt???? Wish a nice citezen would have video snaped this one too.

The person who videotaped the arrest has now been arrested himself.
There was a stop by the van that not one of the six law enforcement agents (and yes, I use that term loosely) reported that stop; it was recorded on a private camera...I have not caught whether it was a camera phone or security camera.
President Obama responds to questions. He was asked a question, he answered it.
Best to ask media outlets why they don't ask about all of those white guys who are k**led by cops.

So was that cop telling you that he was a failure at catching bad guys or that he is a thug?

Well, you can't blame her, the comments were from Bo Dietl, a truly upstanding person in society.

Maybe they're going with the "It takes on to own one" sect of journalism.

I heard yesterday that the police departments in Chicago and Philly are also well known for these rough rides.
It seems to me that there cannot be anyone in these departments does not have knowledge of these things. They should be cleaning house.
I used to think that there are good cops and few bad ones. Maybe that is reversed in large cities? There are bad cops and a few good ones?

It is so odd, isn't it?
I get frustrated sometimes as when I moved I plopped down into the most conservative area I have ever lived in.
And yet here, if someone ODs they are treated as a person with a disease and I am not sure they even bring charges against them.
Then I read posts on sites like this and people seem to want to blame the victim of homicides for being k**led.
They surely don't seem to understand the criminal justice system where cops catch 'em, courts try 'em, and jails keep 'em.
