Man - O - Man How Cool Is This... Don D.

Beany's Drive Thru - Long Beach , California (corner of "PCH" [Pacific Coast Hwy] and Ximeno) - 1952-53.... Really cool.... Fats Domino singing, 20 cents for a burger, old cars and the girls skirts were all the way down to the knees, and no body piercing.... Enjoy the Sunday drive.... Those were the days.... A simpler time & better time....

There was never a simpler or better time. Bursting that bubble blown up by delusion might help us return to a truly simpler and better time: the now. Nostalgia, like hope, can be a corrosive thread in being fully present and open to what is. Taking things as they are, not as they are in opposition or contrast to supposed ideals, is simpler and better.

I was about 230 LBS 30 years ago. But I did something about it, and I have been 160-170 for a long time. Now it seems people just don't care? 300 LBS, tattoos, gut's h*****g out from under cloths, pants down below their nut's? ? ? ? And shall I say stupid! And yes our fine educational system (no r****d left behind-common core) and GMO food, aspertame, corn syrup and the list go's on!!!!

If you want expert on Agenda 21, Sustainable Development,
Common Core, Smart Meters and all things related, google
Thomas DeWeese for his readily available writings and other
sources. DeWeese frequently has columns published in the
on-line magazine, "News With Views."

My parents were realists and romantics, including both down any walk of memory lane. Domestic abuse was almost sanctioned up to the 80s. Genocide and r****m thrived in this period. Millions in Africa were dying of hunger. The United States was sinking into a totalitarian form of government over the "Red Scare." The 50s was not idyllic by any stretch of the imagination. Remembering it as such clouds our present view of reality.

Back in the 50's, things were more clearly defined, so in that sense, it was a simpler time. But we kids in our
church youth group used to think it would have been neat to have lived in "Bible Times." Well, guess what, y"all...here we are, in Bible Times!!!
