As fond of you as I am, kind sir, and while I am loathe to suggest this, I fear there must be a flaw in "your" t***slator program, perhaps even a v***s  because it is quite clear that God was talking about North Carolina, and not, The Great State of Texas. The ratio of sand to green luscious landscape is not a balanced one and we know how important balance is to God. Yep.

DANG! DARN!..DARN..DAD GUM...DANG IT!!!! (kick the chair) DARNED DAD GUM!.....WAIT!!!! I've got it!!
With our coastline along the gulf, and our many large riverbeds, I think we ratio out pretty nicely!! i gotta go fix the chair........

I have been informed, numerous times, that despite their many faults, Texans are anything but dumb. You have reaffirmed my beliefs.

'Many faults' seems a little harsh there, Amigo. Maybe 1 of us did have a pimple, wart, or mole here and there; but I wouldn't say many. :hunf:

What some might consider faults, others might consider them attributes.

First let me say that spring has sprung up here in the North Carolina mountains. Snowed less than two weeks ago, but still the grass is growing so fast the robins can disappear before they hop ten times.

Apple and cherry trees are in full blossom and yes, the water is crystal clear and as good as you can get. You would not believe the coffee it makes. Good to the last drop. I would not recommend you take up being the "Culligan Man" up here.

As for the politicians. All them fools who were up for e******n (read that Democrats) were kicked out and we sent a passel of Republicans up to DC and over to Raleigh.

Zippity-do-dah... My, oh, my -- what a wonderful day.

Oh, ghost. You always tickle me. Did ya'll get a tornado today? We had a lot of hail. Hear tell we will maybe have a chance to mow the lawn....after the two foot high grass dries out. 😃

God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel, found him, resting on the seventh day.

He inquired, "Where have you been?"

God smiled deeply and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."

Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, and I've put life on it.

I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place to test Balance."

"Balance?" inquired Michael, "I'm still confused."

God explained, pointing to different parts of Earth.

"For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor.

Over here I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people. Balance in all things."

God continued pointing to different countries.

"This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel , impressed by God's work, then pointed to a land area and said, "What's that one?"

"That's North Carolina, the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful beaches, mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, forests, hills, and plains. The people from North Carolina are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they are going to travel the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving, carriers of peace, and producers of good things"

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be balance."

God smiled, "Just north of North Carolina by a couple hundred miles is Washington, D.C. .. Wait till you see the i***ts I put there!"
God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael,... (show quote)

If this is true of the people of NC, what about their protest against their governor and her policies?

I can't speak for NC, however, SC is trying to protest against our illustrious governor Haley about raising taxes.
Can't figure why, with BMW, Hubbell, Boeing, etc. here (and $800,000 just laying around), we need higher taxes.
She ran on "not being a good ol' boy". Tee hee.
Nuff said.
Anarchy is very appealing.

Now, now. Be nice. It's a very good possibility she MIGHT become our next president.

My bet is that she will. Our v**es are just pacifiers to make us think that we actually have a choice.
I may change my name from MCMLX to Anarchy.

I will take that as a compliment Tom!
We were once known to be a rough, and tough lot; but modernization has foo fooed us up anymore it seems. Myself included! Hell, I'm talking to a friend in Oregon from my kitchen chair in Texas!
What happened? I guess we just have to roll with it... :hunf:
