Our dinner is going to be a tad late. It took the leg of lamb a tad longer to become drunk before I could place it in the crockpot.

Jack for beef or pork, not lamb. I provided a small snack to stave off Uncle's hunger pains. :D

We are all well Aunti. We went out to my daughter's new house yesterday, and hunted Easter eggs with the grandkids.
Today, we ate prime rib with all of the trappings. GREAT lesson at church this morning! Everyone finally went home, and Mrs.B. is napping on the couch.
Happy Easter to you, and yours! I hope the intoxicated lamb turns out well for ya'll!!

It sounds like you and yours had a wonderfully blessed Easter in all ways.

Had I been industrious enough, the charcoal grill would have been cleaned and the drunk lamb cooked on the grill. If you have never charcoal or wood grilled leg of lamb, you must try it. It is SSSSSOOOOOO good! :!: :!: :!: :!:

I have never tried it. I was turned off by sheep meat at a young age. Granny made mutton, and I thought it was gross!
I will try it though. Heck, I actually like brussels sprouts now. Never thought I would. I'm not afraid to try new things so much anymore. Sauerkraut will NEVER be new though!! :hunf:

I had never had lamb until my BFF served it. I immediately became very fond of it.

Did I send you the recipe for Brussels sprouts slaw?

The best way to do sauerkraut is salt/pepper and brown a pork roast, remove, add sauerkraut to the drippings, thoroughly mix, cook slightly, place the pork roast back in the pan, add a small amount of water, cover, cook on low until the pork roast is finished. Basically, it is Pennsylvania Deutch pork and sauerkraut. The brown seasoned pork roast flavors the sauerkraut. Big heaping serving of mashed potatoes on the side. The whole plate should have pork roast, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and apple sauce.

Sorry. I do not eat it except as written and usually only in winter as a comfort meal!

Good point....I guess I'll have to settle for 'grumpy turd'. Outlaw sounds a lot better though......
