You are right, it is a sad time we live in because of Obama, he has shown his true colors. Race relations have gone out the window, and yes 60 years of progress have been erased. I to pack everywhere I go and stay proficent in the use of my weapon.
Never thought that I would need to do that in my country and it is not a white and black thing, it is a protection thing and both black and w***e a******ns are now in urgrent need of protection. The have nots are in charge and have not desire to achive anything, they are entitled and want that free stuff at all cost...sad commentary of america today

We have to get back to where the working people do the v****g and if you are on the public dole you don't get to v**e. Kind of goes back the golden rule we grew up with he who has the gold makes the rule and in this case those that have jobs have the gold and it should be theirs to spend as they see fit not as how they are forced to. That way those need a hand up are likely to receive it and those who want to sit around and do nothing will receive nothing. I have no problem helping someone but I do resent being taken advantage of.

Hi Y'all.
I'm new to this site but like what I have been reading. First,I'm a Citizen of the United States, NOT an American. What you ask? Well think about it. You have South Americans-American, Central America, thats Mexico,Guatemala, Belize etc.-American, Canada, thats right North America-American. Don't let the media draw you into their games, do your own research. I don't believe in African American, Mexican American or any other hyphenated American, either you are or you're not make a choice and or go back where you came from. You want to become a US Citizen do it the right (legal) way, I welcome you. So that is me. Just an average guy trying to make my own way through with the rest of you. Good Luck.

Just the working people...how about retiree's? What has to be cut is the hundreds/thousands of ways to work the system. I have to blame the gov't and gov't employees who have put a lot of these people on some manner of "welfare" or qualified them "disabled". And, two out of wedlock children and no identifiable Father, then either take the children out of the house and put them in foster care and up for adoption...but this thing of men producing these children who are like pimps producing their income...as these Baby Daddy's take the checks away from the Baby Mama's and the children grow up to do the same, as they have been raised on the street.

Retirees would be qualified to v**e as they worked all their life. The ones to be disqualified are those who are not contributing anything to the public coffer. That would include government workers since their money comers from the public fund of workers. It would be more of an incentive for the congressmen and senators to go back home after their term and back to work so they could then v**e again. Basically any body who is getting money from the public fund "taxpayers" would be ineligible to v**e. If one had to I suppose since we are't evil creatures that there will always be exceptions to the rule we could by public v**e see which ones to allow in like the disabled etc. I just fear that once you find an excuse for one you can then have those that will propose an excuse for the others as well and we would be back in the same boat in short order.

I have to agree with most of what you write, however I spent most of my adult life in the military and retired from there so my income is military retirement (from the govt.) and s/s (from the govt.) both of which I earned and paid for but since my wife and I are both over sixty five it is not enough to require us to pay income taxes on it so even though those stats qualify us as being on the dole I don't feel that we are I feel that I have earned what I get I hope this makes sense

I don't know if I actually stated that but I believe anyone in the military and who made a career of the military definitely has something to say about the country and the way it is run. Anyone who puts their life on the line for this country and its people should always have a v**e here. This would also include all city police county and state police as well. I don't think I would go as far as putting the dog catcher on though. I also stated anyone who is retired either from a secular job or business and I should say military would also qualify.

Welcome aboard. We have a good number of conservatives on here and sometimes the topics take on a life of their own. So come on in get your feet wet and enjoy. We do have some liberals that enter into the discussions on occasion and if you feel so inclined you can join in and challenge them. I have a number of liberals in my family so I usually sit back and watch the banter and have a good laugh. Since I deal with them enough in real life and know their tactics I choose not to engage here as well. Have fun.
